There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Moby is an American electronic musician and is also the name of his live band. Born Richard Melville Hall on September 11, 1965 in Harlem, New York. Moved to Darien, Connecticut at the age of 2. De Amerikaanse muzikant Moby specialiseert zich in elektronische muziek en maakt sinds de jaren negentig techno, house en ambient. Hij raakt daarmee uitermate veel gevoelige snaren; vertaald naar de verkoop van alleen het album ‘Play’ zouden we zeggen ruim 10 miljoen. Het best verkochte elektronische album aller tijden kent enkele fijne opvolgers, waarvan het wat minder hitgevoelige, maar uitermate prikkelende ‘Wait For Me’ het laatste wapenfeit blijkt.
Kelli Scarr is de ex-zangeres van Moonraker. Ze stond eerder met haar dansbare muziek in juli in de Melkweg als support van Moby. Dat bleek goed te bevallen, want ook deze najaarstour mag ze Moby weer supporten!

Moby 'Unplugged' Location: The Palace Theatre
On Saturday 15th November Moby returns to London for a special, never before seen, ‘unplugged’ live show at London’s Palace Theatre. Built in the late 1880's to be the home of English grand opera, the theatre has an impressive history, hosting the first Royal Variety Performance in 1912, and was also the venue for Fred Astaire's final stage musical in 1933. More recently, the venue is better known for staging musicals.

R&V is excited to host your festival fun yet again for another incredible 3 day event and are pleased to announce that tickets for 2009/10 are now on sale exclusively on the R&V website.
This year the allocation of Early Bird tickets sold out in the record time of only THREE DAYS, which just goes to show what an amazing festival it was last year and the support going forward for this years event!
Limited Pruning tickets are available NOW at $175 + booking fee. Once this allocation runs out ticket prices will increase in the Spring and then again in Summer. You can also add a 3 day bus option. Buses will again be running daily between R&V and the campgrounds in town.

Hot on the heels of the Falls Festival line-up, Brisbane’s own offshoot Sunset Sounds has followed suit. The event will return to the Brisbane Botanical and City Gardens on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 January 2010 for two balmy nights under the stars.
A good chunk of the Falls dream team is making the pilgrimage north. Hipster idols Yeah Yeah Yeahs will headline alongside Moby and full band, Grizzly Bear, King Khan and the Shrines, Seasick Steve, Editors, Hilltop Hoods and plenty more from home and abroad.

Southbound 2010 Location: Sir Stewart Bovell Park, Busselton, Western Australia
The Southbound Festival is Western Australia’s premier music, camping and arts festival and takes place in the heart of the scenic south west of the state. The festival was born in January 2005 in Busselton.
With its humble beginnings, Southbound quickly grew to incorporate camping in 2006 and in 2007 (only the festivals third year) sold out six weeks in advance, with 20,000 punters and 8,000 campers. And 2008’s festival was a bigger success yet again.
The festival attracts mixed demographic, but is largely focussed on young and youth culture. However it is an all ages event that’s welcoming to music and art lovers of all ages. As one of the largest festivals in Western Australia, punters can expect to experience the biggest names in popular music, crossing genres from rock to acoustic to hip hop to dance.
The festival also employs a dedicated eco-friendly policy.
