- THIS WAS THE FIRST 'BAD BOY' ALBUM...IN THEORYThis album is actually one of my favorites of all time. Craig Mack drops a verse on here. Biggie (RIP) drops two verses. Puff is on the intro as well as using a crazy voice during a slamming remix of 'What's The 411' - you see, this was the Bad Boy we all came to grow and love before it became known for it's love of money. It's East Coast/Hip-Hop/R&B with a touch of ghetto fab to the fullest. Only one weak song, "Changes I've Been Going Through..." And Mary - she kills it, and lays out the red carpet for her much touted, 'My Life' in 1994. Especially for the Mary fans who liked the combat boots and the thug girl image, this one is for you. Loved it, loved it, and still love it. Peep her duet with K-Ci, "I Don't Wanna Do Anything Else" produced by DeVante. That makes this album a must have by itself. AND, you'll be surprised to hear Heavy D drop a then unknown chorus (a full year before he released the actual song) on her Teddy Riley remix of "My Love"...Heavy starts saying, "I Got Nothin But Love For Ya Baby..."...now isn't that tight? Out. Knyte (Trust Me)

- This Is How A Remix Album Should Be Done!Mary J. Blige released this remix album about a year after the original album came out. The songs already had a hip hop edge to them but now they have been revamped with even more hip hop. This is quite an enjoyable album especially if you just chilling at the crib with some folks (which I do a lot). Every remix is tight save for the Sweet Thing remix...you just can't remix that type of song and keep the same tempo and have it be good. Notorious BIG raps on two of the songs (Real Love and What's The 411) so that's another plus. But the X-Factor here is Mary J. Blige. She just has a knack for making great tracks and albums. Buy This Album right now if you haven't already. 5 Stars.

- Few Remixes Stand Out...This 1993 remix project gave Mary J. Blige fans a tease before the onslaught of her classic sophomore album, "My Life". While this album was influenced heavily by the remixers, Mary's voice exudes the tracks with warmth and passion. Of the 12 remixes, about half of them come close to the originals. "Real Love" and "What's The 411?" get you bumpin' with ill rap verses from then up-and-comer Notorious B.I.G. (both remixes produced by Sean "Puffy" Combs). "Reminisce" features the slick style of rapper C.L. Smooth. Then "Puffy" Combs returns to remix "Love No Limit" and "You Remind Me". The one remix that truly outshines the original is Teddy Riley's remix of "My Love", featuring Heavy D. The remaining remixes are less than sub-par. The DJ intros could have been left off. However, this was only a sign of things to come for the young Queen of Hip-Hop Soul. A definitive must-buy for any Mary fan young and old.

- It'sGreat! My third favorite of Mary's all time hit recordsI think that Mary's the 411 remix is off the charts and definitely the bomb! With a hit like "My Love", a song that my whole family knows you can tell that the album would be butter, it's just one of those songs that you know hey, the album is going to be a hit. But, that might be me, I love everything that Mary does, there's nothing that she did that I ever said, Oh that's just corny, so for me, I definitely loved it. Then, you got "Real Love", and "You Don't Have To Worry" most-likely a plantium hit as much as that was played when it came out. I would have given it 4 stars, not 5 because it's not my all-time favorite of Mary's 5 records. But Mary needs more love than she's been given.
