Review - Amazon.com :
It's a long way from Jacksonville, Florida, to the North Pole, but first generation Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd put antifreeze in the old touring van and set a course for Santa's workshop with this seasonal outing. The band, which now consists of three founders and a handful of later recruits, mix Yule warhorses ("Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Greensleeves") and more recent fare ("Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin'," "Run Run Rudolph," Eddie C. Campbell's customized-for-Christmas take on "Messin' with the Kid") with a smattering of originals. Guests Charlie Daniels and .38 Special check in with one song apiece, giving the whole project a kind of TV variety-show feel--that is, if you can picture a bearded Perry Como with a stack of Marshall amps at his back. --Steven Stolder Customer review - 2000-11-29
- Santaynrd Has Come to Town!Being a Skynyrd fan for over 20 years, I must say this is one Skynyrd CD that came as a big surprise for me. My wife surprised me with it and I had to take a double look at the CD cover. A Skynyrd Christmas CD I asked myself? Very cool, man. I have alot of Christmas CDs. All of those wonderful classics from the 60's and up that I enjoy so much around this time of the year. But it's really great to see a CD from a band that I am such a big fan of put a CD out that have great Christmas classics done Skynyrd style. I put the "Christmas Time Again" CD on right away and loved it right from the start. This is going to a rock'n Christmas. Keep rock'n Skynyrd and Merry Christmas! Live to Ride, Ride to Live.

- Pure SkynyrdYa it's a different Skynyrd, ya there's no Ronnie, ya every song on this tape isn't done by Skynyrd, but that doesn't change the fact that as far as Christmas tapes go...this one can't be beat. The only two songs that Skynyrd doesn't do are : Santa Clause is coming to Town, which Charlie Daniels does and Hallelujah It's Christmas which is done by .38 Special. Lynyrd Skynyrd has become one of my favorite bands, and I'd say that this cd is essential for anyone who loves Skynyrd new...or the Skynyrd of old.

- Suprise of the Year! When I first heard Lynyrd Skynyrd put out a Christmas CD,I thought are these guys El Loco? Guess again. Not only did they pull it off,but they have made another marvelous record. The band rocks out such standards as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Raindeer,Run Run Rudolph, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, with the Charlie Daniels Band(ala early Elvis).Christmas Time Again is a smokey r&b influenced song with an outstanding duet featuring Johnny Van Zant and Dale Rossington. Even though this is a signature Skynyrd record, they manage to incorporate a beautiful orchestrated Greensleeves(traditional) keyboards by Billy Powell and Bill Cuomo, and also Classical Christmas-instrumental. The album concludes with another upbeat guest Thirty Specialand back to the group's honky tonk "Skynyrd Family." Whether you are giving or receiving, make sure this one ends up under your Christmas tree. You'll be playing this one for many years to come!

- Skynyrd Can Do No WrongWell, I must that I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that Lynyrd Skynyrd had put out this Christmas collection. But upon reflection of the Skynryd values I believe it to be totally appropriate. "Lynyrd Skynyrd are for the young and the old". And as I am the old and my 6 year old son the young we get so much enjoyment playing the collection. Boy....can my son groove! Lynyrd Skynyrd are lengendary, and now I only wish that either the band come down to Australia to concert, or I get the opportunity to see them live in the US. Happy listening fans and god bless all children.
