- One of the Best Songs Ever WrittenI think this is one of the best songs ever written. And there will never be anyone who can sing it in the same way Linda Eder does. All the mixes on this single ar great. And the lyrics may move you to tears. There's just something about the way Eder draws out her phrases (WE-ee WERE PO-etry; In Vie-E-na-A-a-a) She has a cry in her voice that breaks your heart. She herself sounds on the verge of tears as she whispers the last line, "It was the *best* time . . . of my life." If you haven't heard this song before, or if you've heard the six minute version on her albums "Linda Eder" and "It's No Secret Anymore," you should buy this album. The dance mixes force you to at least tap your toes (sadly, I have no will power and I simply get up and dance), while that last ballad version will bring to your knees sobbing. This beautiful lady is going places.

- Linda Eder--a Powerhouse!Linda Eder's voice is simply amazing. She evokes such a range of emotions through her work--from happy-go-lucky to heavily traumatic. On this single, Eder reprises a fabulously scored version of "Vienna," a song from both her current CD (*It's No Secret Anymore*) and an earlier album. She and writer Frank Wildhorn really cook with this powerful love song of long-ago romance. After one listen, you'll know why it's no secret anymore.

- I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this sure wasn't it."Vienna," as sung by Linda Eder on her album, "It's No Secret Anymore" is one of the most beautiful songs you'll ever hear. I've been fortunate to see her perform it in person and recommend the song to anyone who'll listen. The seven versions on this single, however, have none of the qualities I love about the song. The soaring melody and fascinating orchestration that make the original so captivating are replaced by pounding drums and synthesized noise in the single's "mixes." A couple of the tracks were barely recognizable as "Vienna" at all. None of this is Eder's fault -her voice, on those few occasions when it is heard, is as spectacular as always. Please - if you haven't heard Linda Eder yet, don't let this be your introduction to her music. Buy "It's no Secret Anymore," "It's Time," or my personal favorite "And So Much More" first. Then, if you like pounding club/disco mix music, go ahead and try "Vienna" the single.

- Dazzling Voice, Perfect Song, Great RemixesEder is running one of the smartest careers around (after a long haul getting here) and, to her credit, she's savvy enough to remix her songs for the clubs. While the remix arrangements (somewhat Latin) are a bit incongruous for a song about Vienna (and as compared to the brilliant original arrangement on Eder's first and fourth CDs), they still kick. Here, you get your money's worth with seven tracks, three by one remix artist (radio, club and dub) and three by another (same), along with Arif Mardin's remix of Vienna for radio play (quite a bit different than the CD versions, too). The remixes lose the HIGH DRAMA found within Eder's long CD version, but if you can separate your feelings among the cuts, you'll love them just the same.

- AWESOMEIt was 1980's sometime when I heard that amazing voice on Star Search. The only reason I looked up was I thought I heard Barbra Streisand singing on TV, to my amazement it was Linda Eder and I promised myself I would remember her name. I lost the name, but 5 years later I was half watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and there was an interview with the Director of Jekyll and Hyde, for one minute he began to talk about linda and then played just a few seconds of her singing...I knew again that was the one, wrote her name down and ran straight to the CD store to find ANYTHING of hers. I was happy to re-discover her and have been following her ever since. This latest in remixes took me by surprise when I heard it at a club in chicago. I knew it was her and fell into a trance just listening to it. This is in my opinion the best dance song of the year, All I can say is WOW, I begged the DJ to copy me the song since it is still promo only as of yet and I can't get enough of this song. It moves me as a ballad and definately moves me as a remix on the floor! Lenny B is doing some great stuff, this and the recent remix of the Jessica Simpson "Where You Are"..........Linda is incredible!
