Descripción (en inglés) :
LeAnn steps into a new Pop dimension with songs produced by such luminaries as Desmond Child (Life Goes On), Peter Amato (of Baha Men fame) and Gregg Pagani (Canada's #LW). Includes the hit single 'Life Goes On'. Curb Records. 2002.

- Disappointing
I'd been quite eager to hear LeAnn Rimes' new album for awhile and just recently checked out a copy of "Twisted Angel" from the local library. I'm just thankful that I didn't buy it first.

Fans who fell in love with LeAnn's "Blue" era music, may have to sit down before listening to this album. Many country artists who crossover to the pop side of music, often have some elements of country music in their work. "Twisted Angel" doesn't have a single twang of country on it. I'll be the first to say that I really do like songs from crossover artists (and listen to all genres of music) if that singer has the right voice to carry that type of material and the songs are good. In my opinion, LeAnn doesn't have that kind of voice and the songs on here are not that good. I've always thought that LeAnn has a beautiful voice, but on this album, it just doesn't show.

Songs like "Tic Toc," "Trouble With Goodbye" and "Sign of Life" sound like bland, over-produced R&B songs. The ballads are mediocre. Nothing special there. The only songs I enjoyed on the record were "Damn," "Life Goes On" and the title track.

I tried to like "Twisted Angel," but I just couldn't find anything special about the album.

- No halo, but it's still good
LeAnn Rimes is back on the music scene with an album set to send her full throttle into the world of pop music. Along with the likes of Faith Hill and Shania Twain, LeAnn is claiming admission to the pop industry with a sound that is still rooted in acoustic guitar, buried beneath some beats and synthesizer. "Twisted Angel" is certainly not the pull-all-the-stops, album of the decade sort of recording, but it's still quite good for being such a quick transition from country with pop sounds to pop with country roots.

Life Goes On- My favorite track, the first single. Great message, all around great. 5/5 stars

Wound Up- It has an interesting intro. I think this is her autobiography on the record. 5/5 stars

The Safest Place- A beautiful ode to her husband. 5/5 stars

Trouble With Goodbye- An okay song, VERY much about synthesizer and beats. 4/5 stars....a likely single.

Damn- OUTSTANDING!!! Tied with "Life Goes On" for my favorite track. This is a ballad about struggling with mixed emotions about your romantic interest. Ignore the title; it's a beautiful song. 5/5 stars!!!

Suddenly- Good message. Overall, 4/5 stars.

Tic Toc- Part of the reason for four stars. This song does NOT fit her image; I understand that she's married, but this is a Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears sort of song- the type of thing that doesn't need to be broadcasted. 1/5 stars.

Sign of Life- I love this! A great coming into your own sort of song. 5/5 stars.

Review of my Kisses- Personally not my sort of song, but good all around. 4/5 stars.

No Way Out- A GREAT song about feeling trapped in a relationship. Another awesome possible single. 5/5 stars.

Love is an Army- I don't know how this song made her 13 picks for the album. The lyrics are so sappy and average that I want to puke...but Tic Toc still beats it. 2.5/5 stars

You Made Me Find Myself- A beautiful song about using love as a catalyst to find your own inner strength. 4.5/5 stars.

Twisted Angel- The title track showcases her great voice. Very jazz-infused and original. 5/5 stars.

Overall, a good album, give or take two songs. LeAnn is definitely going in a new direction- and thus an album that is a twisted angel.

- Exquisite Departure
In Leann Rimes new album, "Twisted Angel" she departs from her more usual fare of country/faith based singing. This album is Leann coming out on her own. The album right from song # 1, "Life Goes On" goes down like an extra smooth martini. The first time I put the CD on, it played all the way through and was so soothing that I could not believe that it had finished.

In these 13 tracks, Leann shows she can be a contemporary shining star, just like the rest of them. I had high expectations of this album, and it lived up to all of them. The album is truly an evolution of an artist in progress. It is highly recommended to lovers of popular music and Leann Rimes.

- LeAnn's on a roll with Twisted Angel!
I bought LeAnn's CD the first day it came out after hearing clips of the album on her official site and let me tell you something, the clips were wonderful but the album is AWESOME! I have not really been a LeAnn fan as I am more of a pop music fan but ever since the Coyote Ugly soundtrack, LeAnn's been blowing the world away! Here's what I thought of the album:

1. Life Goes On- The first single from this album which does sound more pop than it does country. Overall, an awesome message. 9/10

2. Wound Up- The best track by far on this CD. Kind of reminds of Britney Spears' "Lucky," what with the story about Carrie Ann and all. Great lyrics, great beats, and LeAnn's vocals are truly amazing on this track. 10/10

3. The Safest Place- A ballad about feeling safest in a man's arms. Good song. 8/10

4. Trouble With Goodbye- This song really sounds R&B with the beats and all. LeAnn says goodbye in different languages. 9/10

5. Damn- A mid-tempo song about liking the way love makes you feel but not wanting to lose control. 8/10

6. Suddenly- A fast paced song about being independent and realizing that you're alone. Good song. 10/10

7. Tic Toc- This is the song that has critiques all buzzing. LeAnn describes what it feels like to have an orgasm and what it takes to get her there. Complete with little whimpers. Very poppy feel. 9/10

8.Sign of Life- About living life to the fullest. 8/10

9.Review My Kisses- LeAnn has said that this song kind of describes the way she feels about her husband. Nice, slow ballad. 10/10

10. No Way Out- Really awesome, mid-tempo song about being in love but then feeling trapped and having no way to get out. 10/10

11. Love Is An Army- Slow ballad. 7/10

12. You Made Me Find Myself- Talks about being on your own after a relationship. Written by pop singer Tina Arena. 9/10

13. Twisted Angel- Good song with guitars. Has a very rock feeling going on. 10/10

Overall, this CD is awesome and if you are a pop fan, definitely get this CD because Leann has an awesome voice and the songs have some awesome beats. You will not be dissappointed. In addition, Leann cowrote 4 of the songs on here. You go, Leann!!!
