- lo mejor de la mejor de italia
I first heard of Laura Pausini when I went to Monterrey, Mexico, in 1996. Though I didn't understand as much Spanish back then as I do now, I was affected by the emotion in her voice.

I recently bought this CD that I hadn't heard in so long, and I rarely go anywhere without it. Every song on this disc is strong. The first one, Gente, has a line that I find very poignant- "No somos angeles, no nos caimos de cielo, la gente que busca el amor verdadero".

The next song, "El No Esta Por Ti", is so bittersweet, you feel the longing and anxiety in the couple she sings about. "Amores Extranos" is equally as affecting.

"Las Chicas" perhaps foreshadows the direction she went on in "Mi Respuesta", her latest album, though I think "Las Chicas" is far better.

"La Soledad" is another heart-wrenching song, with her voice ranging from a longing whisper to a the full capacity of her singing voice. You really feel that songs like this ring true.

Of course, her first hit, "Se Fue", is here, with a very poetic refrain (se fue, se fue el perfume de sus cabellos, se fue, se fue, el murmullo de sus silencios). With this song and others on this disc, she endeared herself to Mexico.

I would recommend this album even to those whom don't really understand Spanish. Albums like this one are few and far between.

- World's best singer
This is a very good album of LAURA PAUSINI. It was quite hard to get it here in Slovenia... -:) Songs Amores Extraños and La Soledat are the most beautiful balades that I've ever heard!

- A beautiful, beautiful voice
Somebody loaned me a copy of Mi Respuesta and from the first song I was hooked on this gal's voice. This CD, self-titled, is every bit as good. I just love it. I have not heard her sing in italian because I am concentrating on trying to learn spanish and listening to spanish music 95% of the day sure helps. I like the song 'Gente' a lot. This song proves that you don't need a hundred thousand watts of crunch chords coming at you to have a strong song. The message and the performance are so powerful. It's love, hope, disillusion, emotion, redemption, joy, and more. Don't wait any longer. Treat yourself to the music, the sweet voice of Laura Pausini.

- "Loneliness will touch everryone's heart"
I'm Bruce B. Of Cebu Philippines.I heard the song loneliness way back 1995,I was in third year high school then at that time and only one FM station was playing loneliness in our place. It was indeed a hit song here that made this particular FM station popular for playing loneliness. Now 7 yrs had past and loneliness is still a hit song in our City but the only difference is that its played to more than 7 stations catering to classes A-C. I hope this song will not just be heard in Cebu but also to the other parts of our country and to other countries as well. Every time I hear this song it "makes my hair at the back of my napes stands" the song is perfectly made from the heart and the voice of Laura perfectly match with this song. The Title "loneliness" might be something hard but then it speaks of reality, it speaks of acceptance and truth and how to deal with it. . . . . .
Thank you so much Laura for this wonderful song!

- Wonderful Spanish voice!
Well, this is the first Spanish album of Laura that I really enjoy more than the Italian Version. Maybe it's because this album has all the best songs from her Italian Albums, but in Spanish version .I like the Spanish version of "Se fue", "El valor que no se ve" better than the Italian Version. What can I say more? It's the wonderful voice of Laura that sings! Try this one! You won't regret to buy if you like the others albums of her (Le cose che vivi, Laura...)
