- Great for those only familiar w/her Spanish language albums
I've known about Laura for quite some time now, and have owned her Spanish-language albums for a couple of years. Wanting to learn Italian prompted me to buy her music released in Italy. This album features the original Italian versons of her greatest hits off the first Spanish language album (Se Fue, or "Non C'e", and La Soledad, or "La Solitudine"). If you understand Italian, you will notice a slight variation in the Italian lyrics versus the Spanish ones, and that adds more depth to each song.

In addition to the Italian versions of many songs from her first Spanish language album, you get to listen to some songs that weren't chosen to be recorded in Spanish. I can't believe that Dove Sei didn't make the cut for the songs chosen to be recorded in Spanish, while Tutt'Al Piu did. My only guess is that it was hard to make the lyrics work out in the translation to Spanish. In any case, this is a beautiful song, equally as strong as Non C'e and La Solitudine. I also like Mi Rubi L'Anima, which is just as good. The interesting thing about this song is that it is a duet with a male singer.

Baci Che Si Rubano, another song that didn't make the first Spanish album, is the only song on this disc that borders on being corny, "cursi" if you speak Spanish. However, it's not as corny as the two duds from her second Italian album, namely Cani e Gatti and Anni Miei. Those two songs are really cheesy!

The fourth and final song that wasn't rerecorded in Spanish is the final track. It's a torch song of sorts, like you might hear in a smoky jazz club. It's nothing too special, but it's not that bad, either.

- My favorite Laura Cd
I don't know why but this is Laura's Cd which I keep playing again and again, and I own almost all of her albums. It's her first one, her voice is at peak form, she sings in italian which I think suits her better than spanish, although she does a wonderful work singing in the latter, and last but not least, here you can find two wonderful songs that you cannot find anywhere else (not even in spanish): "Dove Sei", just as awesome as "La Solitudiné" and the uplifting "Baci Che Si Rubano". This Cd is worth every cent. After buying this one, "The Best of Laura Pausini" is an excellent next choice

- Una voce solamente bella
I've listened to this album a number of times (in Italian). Certainly Laura Pausini has a pretty voice and sings with excellent clarity. However those who might be looking for a powerful, dramatic voice may be disappointed. In particular the music on this album seems to me very ordinary and 100% derived from American 1980's pop, with not much variety from one song to another. Finally, I was disappointed that the album has only 8 songs and is just 33 minutes long.

- Wow! The voice of an angel!
I first heard Laura Pausini on a speaker outside a music store in a small Mexican resort. Without knowing anymore about her, I went in and bought the CD. It was all in Spanish and although I could understand little of it .... who cares ... the sound was smooth and relaxing. I soon discovered that she was actually Italian and also records in French, English and of course Italian as well. It is hard to believe that she has not cracked the North American Market (among the English anyway) If you arelooking for a smooth, angelic voice (in any language) you can't find a better one than Laura Pausini! HIGHLY recommended. Joe (in Canada)
