Kortatu is one of the most influential and pioneer band in what the basque punk-ska movement is. Considered like the basque "Clash", Kortatu mixes the speed of punk and the two-tone's old rythm, creating a fast, activist and unique punk-ska. Kortatu was one of the groups known as "Rock Radikal Vasco" (Basque Radical Rock), started to sing in spanish but then changed to euskera (basque). Founded in Irun in 1984 by Fermin Muguruza, Iñigo Muguruza, Treku Armendariz and Kaki Arkarazo.
