Kim Wilde - If I Can't Have You {Extended Version}

"If I Can't Have You" was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees. The song was intended to be included in the follow-up album to "Children of the World" (1976), but was given to singer Yvonne Elliman when the Bee Gees became involved in the production of the movie "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) in which the song, and also in the subsequent soundtrack, appeared. Elliman's version became an international smash hit, and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and #8 in the UK. Kim Wilde version- The song was covered in 1993 by British singer Kim Wilde and recorded as one of two new tracks on her compilation album "The Singles Collection 1981-1993". It was released in several extended remixes on the 12" and CD-single formats. Kim Wilde (born Kim Smith, November 18, 1960 in Chiswick, West London) is an English pop singer, professional gardener and pop cultural figure. She burst onto the music scene in 1981 with the new wave classic "Kids in America", which hit number two in the UK Singles Chart. Major U.S. success eluded her until 1987, when she topped the charts with her version of The Supremes "You Keep Me Hangin' On". Since 1998 she's had an alternative career as a gardener, while still being active in music.
