- an excellent collection

While this just credits "Kenny Rogers", this is by no means a CD of his solo material from the 70s onwards. It is one of many First Edtion complations (the band which Kenny was the frontman in the 60s). It contains most of their hit's and a fair selction of album cuts. One of the best Kenny Rogers and The 1st Edition complations out their. Excellent value for money.

- Very pleasantly Surprised!

This CD came recommended by a friend. I was skeptical, but I have to say, I'm glad I got it. I never knew the rockin' side of Kenny Rogers, and his slow songs, aren't too sappy. And the quality is very bright, and crisp for such an old recording. And for a double disc, you can't beat the price!
