This wonderful mix spans the 20th centur with acutual audio mix-ins of historical events, and finishes bringing forth a new era of the next thousand years. An excellent mix, and must buy sing - even if you don't listen to Kenny G!

I love this recording because it's a compilation of every major event that took place on this millenium; you only have to pay close attention to the voice recordings that play in the background. Everything is there; from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton.

so it's true that i am a sucker for these kinds of nostalgic, manipulatively heart-tugging media, and this one got me. i've heard it three times in the car and each time i have cried, particularly at President Reagan's memorial speech for the space shuttle Challenger - i'm too young to remember either of the Kennedys, so this event is my "i was at this place at this time" when it happened. songs of tribute like this one serve to bind us together as an american community, and if one is willing, joining the embrace of that community, even if just for a song, can be deeply moving.

I'm not usually a Kenny G fan, but I heard this song on the radio and it grabbed me within the first couple of seconds. The music is beautifully performed, with sound bites from the past "millennium". The clips are in time order and they are a great reminder of the past.
