- great cd. He sounds great
You can surely tell this cd is of when he was younger. His voice sounds it. The songs are great and kinda have a soft rock feel to some of them. There are also honky tonk sounding songs on it. This is a must have for any Keith Fan. I like Only You,Lying in the arms of Mary(not religious) and many other great songs.
PLEASE listen to it more than just once. The young sound to his voice could throw you off a bit because it has a young sound to it but it is in fact a great cd. HIS VOICE..it sounds so nice and clear

- Keith Urban Australian Release 1999
It's certainly a shame they do not re-release this album here. I absolutely love it. So many people are just not willing to search for this one, or buy imported CD's online. Keith is terrific, yes you can tell he was younger here but he has such a wonderful voice, a gift from God above. All Keith fans will cherish this gem. I love "Only You", "Got it Bad", "Hold on to your dreams", "Love We Got Goin", "What Loves is that way"... In all actuality the whole album is great! This is the first album Keith ever made, and it is well worth any effort to find and get it. I know it'll be in my CD player for many weeks and months to come. Experience Keith as never before. Keith is such a blessing to the world of country music and this CD just proves what we've always known about him. He is consistent and he really lets the emotion(s) come through in his music. They capture your attention and your heart. Be sure and get an extra copy or two to share with your family or friends.

- Awesome CD
I'm a Keith Urban fan but I only bought this CD so that I would have all I could get my hands on. I never expected to love it as much as I do. I haven't put "Golden Road" back in the CD player since receiving this one. The songs and performances are wonderful. I highly recomend this CD to anyone who likes good music.

- Introduction to The Thunder from Down Under
Keith Urban (1991) Sans the mullet, it is still a great cd. There's an odd mix on the cd of country and pop music. Urban's voice is young , but still very infectious and his guitar skills are better than most artist with more experience. This cd will have you humming right along with "I Never Work On A Sunday;" thinking of a young Dan Fogelberg while listening to "Arms of Mary" "Yesterday" or "The River" and smiling because you know he's going to make an impact in country music with songs like "Clutterbilly" or "What Love Is That Way." It's kind of odd to write a review for something this old, yet there are probably many Urban fans who have not listened to this cd. BUY the cd, and enjoy a very young and talented Keith Urban. My personal favorite song on this cd is "Without You," the vocals are hot, the guitar is even hotter and it's Keith--need I say more.

- I am a HUGE K.U fan...
but this CD is like nothing that I have ever heard him sing before. I hate to say it, but the songs almost remind me of a television theme song. The music is more instrumental with lots of piano, just not what I am used to. I have only listened to it once since I purchased on Amazon.com, so maybe it will grow on me? But, it's NOTHING like Golden Road or his previous CD.
