Review - Amazon.com :
When I first heard "I Want Her" from this 1987 recording, I dropped what I was doing and ran to a record store. The single is the prototype for what Teddy Riley, who did the drum and keyboard programming on the song, would call "New Jack Swing." It has hip-hop's rhythmic chatter and R&B's fierce uptempo drive. Although Riley contributes to most of the songs on this disc, Sweat has a different direction in mind. He aspires to be--and with future releases became--the king of the slow jam. His warm, deep tenor and his intelligently crafted songs set the standard for the pre-Maxwellian loverman. --Martin Johnson

- The One That Started it All.
This is the debut album of Keith Sweat, which not only helped introduce the genre New Jack Swing, but it also made him a veritable fixture in r&b. Nobody will ever give Sweat points for vocal range, but he makes the very best of what he has, and it serves these tracks well. The opener, "Something Just Ain't Right," is one of his most underrated songs, and it's just as good as any of his more popular singles, including his Top Ten smash, the New Jack flavored "I Want Her." He also does a formidable cover of "In the Rain," and the title track, a duet with Jacci McGhee, is a ballad still good enough to give me goose pimples. Always consistent and rarely giving into trends, Keith Sweat is the Energizer battery of r&b: he takes a licking, but he still keeps on ticking.

- Best of the Best
I have been a fan of Keith Sweat since I was 12 years old and now I am 21. This is his best album to me. My favorite song is right or wrong way. Everytime I hear it on the radio I scream. This is a very good album to buy. Keith Sweat is the only man that can touch my heart through his music. And I love him to death.

- Keith Sweat got it right the first time, best album!
The whole album is butter. A lot of babies were probably made off of this. The difference between Make it last Forever and the rest of Keith career is that he macking on this album. The rest of his career he resorted to straight begging to get the cooch. Personal favorites are every song for real. This is an R&B slow jam standard.

- I wish Make It Last Forever, would last forever @}->---
Make It Last Forever is probably my second favourite R 'n B song ever (after My My My). It is such a beautiful song and so is this entire album. I've been a fan of Keith's from the beginning and I still go back to this. I Want Her is probably the next best cut on the album, but in reality - it's all good. This is the King of New Jack and nobody does it better than Keith. Make It Last Forever should be in every r'n b fan's collection. I had to go and re-buy this on cd because the cassette I had was wearing thin because after each time Make It Last Forever finished, I'd keep winding it back. I highly recommend this cd. Amazing.
