- Totally worth every penny! This CD is excellent for the 'new' Cash fan, or any fan who just wants to have all of the Man in Black best songs without spending an arm and a leg. My personal favorites are "Big River" and "Ring of Fire", but the good old-fashioned story songs like "A Boy Named Sue" (written by Shel Silverstein) and "One Piece at a Time" are truly Johnny Cash at his best! You cannot go wrong with this CD!

- Very poorly done.Very bad mix on at least one song.
I head the song "I Walk The Line" from this compilation and was amazed. It is very badly mixed. I own the columbia records compilation "Johnny Cash's Greatest Hits Volume 1" and the mix is very different even though it is obviously from the same recording session. The bass beat is significantly slower but the voice is only a bit slower. They make up for this by cutting out base notes every now and then. It make for a confused feel and does Cash a real disservice. The "Super Hits" people must have some weird idea of what sound they want.
If you want to enjoy the music stay with a distributer with some musical morals.

- A basic collection at a budget priceThis collection contains ten of Johnny's finest songs from the first half of his career. The most recent recording here, One piece at a time (from 1976), is a very funny song about stealing car parts from a factory over several years and assembling them at home with embarrassing results. Jackson is a brilliant duet with his wife, June Carter Cash, which was also recorded by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood. I still miss someone is a wonderful love song and has been covered by a variety of other singers. Other classic songs here include Ring of fire, I walk the line and A boy named Sue. Johnny Cash is a legend and many compilations of his music have been released. Obviously, anybody who is a fan and can afford it will buy a more expensive collection containing all these songs together with many more that you will not find here. This collection is designed for those fans who have a limited budget, or for people who want just a little of Johnny's music to listen to occasionally.

- Johnny Cash Super HitsWhat a great cd! A lot of Johnny's greatest hits on one inexpensive cd! I haven't had a chance to listen to his music for several years--what a joyful reintroduction. His music makes me feel so good!

- Excellent selection of Johnny Cash favoritesI have always been a fan of "I Walk the Line" and "Ring of Fire" and loved hearing them on the radio. I bought this CD only for those 2 songs, but found that I love the whole CD. I had never before heard the hilarious songs "A Boy Named Sue" and "One Piece at a Time" before and they are now my all-time favorite Johnny Cash songs. "Folsom Prison Blues" is also an excellent, classic song. He's a little bit country, a little bit rock-n-roll and lots of beat. No one can replace the awesome deep voice of Johnny Cash. This makes a great CD to bring on a road trip or to give to any fan of country music... but you don't have to be a fan of country music to love this selection of tunes.
