I've been listening to this album for 25 years and it has always been one of my favourites. The genre is jazz/blues/soul, so it will appeal to a wide variety of listeners. Joan Armatrading's voice was made for these melodic forms or maybe it's the other way around. Cherish it forever!

So there I was in a Munich gasthaus, nursing a very bad Oktoberfest "flu". A Turkish guy working the bar is putting on cassette tapes, and he puts one on that has me mesmerized. I ask him what it is, and he has no idea. The tape had no markings on it. I looked for the music for a couple years, and finally heard "Am I blue for You" and knew that I had found it. This LP needs to be made into a readily available CD. This is a great album, with several very good songs.

It is about time to reissue this wonderful album! I bought the LP soon after it was issued in 1978, and I have been looking for the cd for many years now. Please remaster and reissue it! I am aware that a few of the songs are included in some compilations, but this is not the same. And I have been looking for a long time to find a cd with the most beautiful and soulful song "Baby I" included. It is not available anywhere! The best song of them all! I love this album, but it is no use recommending it, because it is not out there! I am sorry to say that it might have reached its limit.

Joan Armatrading's unique voice is one that I return to listen to again and again. She pours out her soul and she connects with her listeners with an intensity few artists are able to achieve. This is a must-have album, the kind you share with people you want to give something special. Joan is a class act.

I like this album. Not as soft as previous albums, ot was funkier and sharper. To the limit is one of my favourite joan songs. Really a joy to listen to.
