Nació el 1 de abril de 1948 en Jamaica. Su carrera se inició tocando ska en varias agrupaciones de la isla. Pero no fue sino hasta 1967 cuando compuso canciones para la película de Perry Henzell 'The Harder They Come' que obtuvo reconocimiento y trascendencia entre los medios internacionales, lo que ayudó a que el disco del film mencionado fuera considerado uno de los álbumes más vendidos en la historia del reggae. |
