I love ballads, but only when the artist can carry them off. Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, and of course this girl Jessica Simpson can do it right. Jessica was born to sing ballads although she can carry a up beat song as well, He voice just shines. This is the first single from her 3rd album IN THIS SKIN, which I own and love. I bought this single the day it came out. SWEETEST SIN the only song Jessica didnt cowrite is so beautiful and seductive. then we got Jessicas self esteem song called IN THIS SKIN. I think this song carrys a great merssege and her voice is amazing. Only haters or the death would give this cd single less than 5 stars.

I've never really be a fan of Jessica Simpson, but when I saw "Making of the Video" on MTV and heard this song, I was impressed. Jessica really shows her vocal talent in this one. She has the gift to "whisper-sing" and make it sound good, unlike Mariah Carey's annoying "whisper-singing".

Diane Warren gets two thumbs up for penning the song.

As much as I like it, I think it might have a little trouble charting. Historically, but not always, debut singles are upbeat and hit hard. This, on the other hand, is VERY soft and light. It's just not that much of an attention grabber.

Should this have been the second single, probably...but the question is: Does "In This Skin" have a song better that could have been the debut release? I guess time will tell! The full album release is all but four weeks away...

Sadly Pop has been vanished from Music Radio Airplays, Jessica Simpson will suffer in the process, not for not having any talent, because that's something that she has, specially her voice!!!!, this song although is not her best, it's fair to say that "Sweetest Sin" would have well done managed to get to the charts back in 2001, but 2003 it's a bad year for any pop attemp, I believe that some of her ballad on her top 10 album"In This Skin" are way better than this track, even the b-side "In This Skin" sound more radio friendly than this, the song doesn't shows a hook, but still a great message and of course again voice!, this is cheap, is a single, so give it a try it's worth it. So you can see what the radio aren't playing, and what else is in music besides Sean Paul, Beyonce, Nelly, and P Diddy, and did I forget the "Magic Stick" oh nononono Lil' Kim and 50 Cent. Not that only Jessica deserves a chance, but Mandy , Mariah, Kelly C., Whitney, Toni B., and many others that will vanished from the music era if the radio don't start playing them.

Okay, all I have to say is that this is an amazing item. Jessica is an amazing singer, and has an even more amazing personality. These songs on this single are amazing, and really express Jessica's amazing talent. This song should work for everyone, no matter what music you like.

Once again Jessica proves how much she has grown as a woman and as a musical artist. Both these songs on this cd single are radio worthy and project her life at the point it is in right now. Her music is fresh and young. This is a cd single to buy. Fabulous!!!
