Jennifer Lopez is a great actress and singer that I truly admire 100%! At first, when she came out with her CD, I immediately thought that she was another one of those actresses who was trying to make a few bucks by singing a cheesy dance number. I immediately shocked when I heard her hit single "If You Had My Love"! Now I can understand why she was given her leading role in her movie "Selena", which was because she could not only act the part, but sing like the sensational Selena as well. I also must say that I truly enjoyed or appreciated almost every song on her CD! My 2 favorite songs on the album are "No Me Ames" (the ballad version) and "Promise Me You'll Try". A request I have to make is that she'd sing in one of her movies, or a soundtrack for that matter. She most definately is has a soulful mature voice with sophisticated rhythm. I also appreciate how kind she is to her fans. Suprisingly, she has very good songs which are an interesting mix of latin, R&B, salsa and pop. Her music videos are spectacular, sassy and sexy, and she definately can dance. I guess what disapointed me somewhat is that she doesn't write her own songs, which is why I rated her 4 stars instead of 5. Jennifer Lopez definately deserves what she got because of all of her hard work, and I hope she's glad to see it paid off. Something that I found spectactular is that should she could sing high notes and low notes as well. Obviously one of Janet Jackson's managers knew that Jennifer had talent, because Ms. Lopez was a back-up singer and dancer for Queen Janet herself! Jennifer, ever heard of Diane Warren? Give her a call...

I love this album! i have been a fan of j-lo since she first came out in mi familia, and i was thrilled to find out that she was coming out with her own debut album, buti was even more thrilled when i bought it.

A great mixture of pop, and latin soul, is my reason for buying this album, its very versatile wich is why i love it sooo much. Some of the most notable tracks are.

1. If you had my love: A great pop song with an up in you're face attitude.

2. should of never: A great ballad with alot of meaning, a great song that she wrote.

3. feelin so good: A delightful feel good happy song, that will raise your spirits.

4. lets get loud: My favorite track, soulful party song with a latin twist, it just makes ya wanna dance.

These are just a few of my favorites, but all in all , this is a great album, and a must for any j-lo fan
