- The US version of Light Years is full of cool remixesLight Years was the 4th single of Jamiroquai's second album: "The Return of the Space Cowboy" . Light Years didn't do as well as it's predecessors in the US (Space Cowboy and Half the Man did a lot better) but this single is a very cool combination of remixes plus a great bonus track. The 4 to da floor mix made by Philly Cassens and Todd Chapman is one of the band most known mixes and is played even today in music clubs. A cool combination of samples and additional keyboards made the band even make a video for this mix. The other two mixes (True Power and Way Gone) are much more like dubs and will always make a good choice for a party since they throw you to the dancefloor. Very well composed these master pieces are the work of the band's drumer and two more DJ's The bonus track is Jamiroquai's best love tune: Half the man which can make everyone fall in love. A must have for a new Jamiroquai collector.

- one of the better Jamiroquai singles.....The album version doesn't exactly make you get up and dance......in fact, I didn't much listen to Light Years until I heard the live recordings of the song, which are incredible. The first remix of the song stays true to the rhythms and sounds of the band version but pumps up the horn line, which is good. This is a good single, but it's probably only fully appreciated if you are a Jamiroquai fan.
