- KILLERS IS AN ORIGINAL METAL MASTERPIECE
Where do I begin. Well let's just first say that this album has a high level of aggression, along with "killer" melody and hooks. It also contains my favorite rhythm section of all time, "Steamin'" Steve Harris and "Clever" Clive Burr(Among the most underated drummers of all time). Furthermore, this was the first Maiden album to feature guitarist Adrian Smith, a master shredder and essential Maiden member . And Dave Murray ain't no slouch on this one either! "Killers" is the first Maiden record to display the dynamic twin guitar attack of Murray and Smith. Also, the last album to feature Paul Di'anno, a very powerful and unique vocalist, who had a lot to do with maidens early success. Some of the best cuts on the record are the very fast for their day "Purgatory" and "Murders in the Rue Morgue", the broodingly heavy "Wrathchild"and a couple nice surprises- the thoughtful mellow rocker "Prodigal Son" to the very catchy yet heavy "Twilight Zone" and "Drifter". And don't forget the "killer" title track! Another tidbit-"Killers" was the album that Bruce Dickinson had to learn when Paul Di'anno quit or was ousted(or whatever Steve Harris says happened to him). "Killers" contains elements of metal/jazz/thrash/hardcore/punk/pop and is a must have for anyone interested in discovering Iron Maiden, if they haven't done that yet. It was a very influential album to later metal and thrash artists(right, Lars?). Last but not least, produced by Martin Birch of "Deep Purple" fame.

- TOTALLY BLEW ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Killers is now my favorite Maiden album. Before I purchased it, I just bought Bruce on vocals. I was skeptical, because alot of Maiden fans don't like Paul Di'anno. I bought it anyway, just to see what he sounded like. And I have to say he has one the greatest heavy metal voices of all time. This album also introduces Adrian Smith on guitar after Dennis Stratton left. There is absolutely no filler I loved every song. If you are a fan of Iron Maiden or just like good old 80's Heavy Metal than this should be an immediate purchase. If your new to Maiden you may want to listen Bruce Dickinson first, to get used to thier sound. Then get this killer album.

- stuck in Purgatory, can't escape
Best Iron Mdiden CD ever made. Purgatory is my favorite track, and the CD flows together nicely. If you like metal, this is one of the necessary CD's to own- it's a classic, pure and simple. Iron Maiden was so great it spawned copycats like Queensryche and Mercyful Fate. All good bands, but Maiden was started in 1976!

- Hatred that burns IN THE NIGHT!
This has the best line of metal ever. The song Killers, has that wonderful "night" line, so it's my favorite song now. Not only does it have night, but it has hatred. What more could you want? Ides of March, even though it's an instrumental, has that night feel. NIGHT! There are 3, not one, not two, but 3 songs with night. Murders In The Rue Morgue, Killers, AND Twilight Zone. Such a great album. Give me night over day any night. NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHT!

- Timeless Maiden
I don't listen to most Maiden fans when it comes to rating this album.....I think it's awesome!!!

Here is a true story......I bought this album for the cover artwork, I think D. Riggs is the best album cover artist in the world.....But back to the story.

Before I purchaced "Killers", I had already bought "Number Of The Beast".....everybody had it, so I had to have it. I never knew that Iron Maiden ever had another singer before Bruce Dickinson until I saw "Killers". After seeing the cover, I had to have it. I didn't care what it sounded like, I just loved the cover.

After hearing this, the cover was no longer my reason for purchacing "Killers".....The music was. I think "Killers" has one of the coolest sounds Maiden has ever put on vinyl. It is truely unique, and Maiden has never in my opinion, ever been able to reproduce that sound......

"Killers" is not just songs, it's like a ride. It takes you in all different directions. This album has more emotion than any other Maiden album I've ever heard. They put together some of the most beautiful songs on this album in my opinion. The slow songs on here put me on the verge of tears at times.....and that's not something music does to me very often.

Don't let that fool you however, "Killers" is packed with power as well. There isn't one song that I don't like, and I've been a B. Dickinson backer since "Number..."

If B. Dickinson was with Maiden during this period, "Killers" would have sounded completely different.....And honestly, Paul makes "Killers" what it is. It's an Iron Maiden "Timeless Classic"!!

It may be hard to stomach for someone who has never heard Maiden without Bruce, but for me, there was nobody like Paul. If I had never bought this album, I might not be the Maiden fan that I am today.....I'm an Iron Maiden collector. To me, "Killers" stands all by itself. Nothing Maiden did after this was as inspiring in my opinion. UP THE IRONS!!!
