- MagnificentAnother marvelous effort by Hooverphonic. Geike's vocals complete the album in a pretty optimistic fashion. Album is slightly more upbeat than previous one's, but definitely not lacking in creative unity. This could be Hooverphonic's best!

- Different But WorthwhileThis record is a bit different than Hooverphonic's three better known albums but it is interesting. The vocals overall are sung in a lower register rather than some songs in which the vocalist sings in a higher pitched etherial voice. My two favorite songs on the album are Nirvana Blue and Day After Day. Nirvana Blue is reminiscent of a Patti Smith classic. Day after Day is unusual. I can only describe it as a showtune for a Broadway play featuring pirates. There are strange percussive instruments combined with singing that reminds me of a Siouxsee and the Banshees song. You will want to instantly memorize the lyrics so you can sing along. Other songs on the album include more standard trip-hop and epic violin backdrops - the stuff that makes Hooverphonic an excellent choice for songs in movies. This album certainly surprised me but did not leave me at all disappointed. It's a must for true Hooverphonic fans.
