Hadise (full name: Hadise Açıkgöz) is a Belgian R&B singer with Turkish roots. Hadise was born Hadise Açıkgöz in 22 October 1985 into a Turkish family. She was first noticed in the Belgian version of Pop Idol, Idool 2003. Even though Hadise failed to win, she was immediately offered an album contract in recognition of her talent . Soon after, her first single Sweat (feat. Raw Jawz) was released and instantly became a hit, being played constantly on dance radio. The second single Stir me up was a huge hit all over Europe, making her one of the hottest new music artists on the continent.
