- Satisfied but disappointedStill Got the Blues contains one of the best guitar solo's of all time and what did they do on this CD? They CUT IT OFF! How could a record company, and more importantly, how could Gary Moore allow this to happen! A major disappointment on an otherwise fine CD.

- One of Gary's Best CD'sThis CD thoroughly covers Gary Moore's best songs. This is a must own for hard rock fans and guitar fanatics. Gary's guitar playing is filled with passion and feeling; and it's been captured on this album. The Loner, Military Man, Parisiene Walkways, Still Got The Blues, and Still In Love With You are the best songs on this album. There isn't a bad song on this CD. Gary Moore is one of the top guitarists ever; and never gets the proper credit he deserves. If the media would push Gary in America the way the push Bruce Springsteen; Gary would be called the boss. This CD proves Moore is a man amongst boys in the world of rock.

- Good - Blues & Ballads may be a betterMany great tracks: Empty Rooms, Cold Day in Hell (tons of energy), Free's Wishing Well (great to hear after all these years), Still Got the Blues. I prefer the Thin Lizzy (Brian Robertson/Scott Gorham) version of Still in Love with You -- it is hard to beat perfection, but it is good to hear that song again (soulful slow blues). Parisienne Walkways show-cases Gary's remarkable near infinite sustain (Les Paul and lots of gain through a Marshall amp), and this live version seems to sustain forever -- a Gary Moore classic! Great to hear the late, great Phil Lynott's voice too. However, the collection doesn't seem to hang together as well as I had hoped. I think Blues and Ballads might be a more coherent compilation of similar material.

- Excellent compilation of Moore's solo work...This is an excellent overview of Gary Moore's solo work. No, it isn't complete-that would take 3 discs minimum. This album has more of Moore's hard rock material rather than his great blues playing. Gary Moore has always been one of the most underrated guitarists around. He gets credit for playing the blues, but he has always been a great rock guitarist - some of Thin Lizzy's best stuff is with Moore on guitar.
Every song on this album has strong playing, but some favorites are: Out In The Fields, Over The Hills, Empty Rooms, Still Got The Blues and Parisienne Walkways(this soloing is jaw dropping).
If you are a fan of great guitarists - this is a must have, or anything by Mr. Moore, he truly can make the guitar "talk".

- One of my favorite albumsI very rarely buy albums because I usually like only a few of the songs. This CD is an excellent compilation and I love all but one of the songs. This is definitely one of my favorite albums. Moore is both a talented guitarist and songwriter. If you love great rock music, especially from the 70s you will enjoy this album. Its also good the hear the great Phil Lynott on a live version of Parisienne Walkways.
