Franz Ferdinand is an indie rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 2001. The band's critically-acclaimed self-titled debut album was released in 2004 and debuted on the UK album charts at number three, going on to win the 2004 Mercury Music Prize. So far, the band has released nine singles of which Take Me Out, The Dark of the Matinée, and Do You Want To were top 10 hits in the UK. The band followed their first album up in 2005 with You Could Have It So Much Better, from which Do You Want To, Walk Away, the double A-side The Fallen / L. |
