- Buy it wherever you canThis is a GREAT CD. If you can find it anywhere now that it's out of stock, get it immediately. Because it is well worth your money. Here's why:
MICHAEL--This fast paced rock song is of very good quality. It's just that many would be given some wrong impressions about Alex Kapranos from listening to the lyrics of the song. But I'm not going to start describing why. The bottom line is that it's a good song. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy.
DON'T START--This is a duet song between Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy, which starts out sounding like a gentle acoustic song, not which is not always what you want from Franz Ferdinand. That's why it rocks up during the chorus into a fast beat and cool rythem that you're sure to like. Featuring vocals by Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy.
TELL HER TONIGHT [GERMAN VERSION]--This version of the song TELL HER TONIGHT is downright HILARIOUS. I thought the demo was so bad that it was funny, but now the funny TELL HER TONIGHT is this version all the way. But the fact that it's in German isn't the only reason why. The other reason is that the drummer of Franz Ferdinand--Paul Thomson--is lead singing! That's right. Paul lead sings! If there was one track on this CD that made it worth getting, it was this. Unfortunately, this version isn't available on ANY other CD-Single. That's why it's so urgent for you to purchase this if you can find it. Featuring vocals by Paul Thomson, Nick McCarthy, and Alex Kapranos.
So it's a 5/5 all the way. I recommend you do all you can to get it.

- Michael: Best Franz song, decent singleI really like this band a lot. I think their sound is much different than what's out there now. It's the catchiest rock music I've heard in a while. I read a review of Michael that sounded really biased and immature. While, I rated this album 4, I took a point off only because of the b-sides. They are okay, but they are b-sides, so I suppose they aren't supposed to be full length album material anyway, they're the cuts. The song "Michael" itself is incredible. I think it's lyrically provocative, sorta edgy, and a little humorous. The vocals are really cool and very unique sounding only as Franz Ferdinand could sound and the guitar riff is pretty clever. I appreciate Franz Ferdinand's making of tight music. It sounds as if all the members know their instruments well and parts in the song to play the songs flawlessly. The german song on the single is sorta a different approach i guess, but it's interesting enough to keep one content. Um, its a cool single, but I'd recommend the album instead, the album is only $9.99 and the single being an important I can only imagine being the same price or more.
