Review - Product Description
2010 release from the Finnish Folk Metal band. Fifelvind is a storm of old-world-laden, Folk-rooted Black Metal that was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki. The album remains true to the Fintroll mythos and ethos: according to the band, it is the most advanced and mature Finntroll album to date, with musical themes ranging from powerful Death Metal riffs to dark soundtracks, from pounding Black Metal to groovy '80s Pop music. Finntroll state 'this album is a celebration of those myths, some new some ageless. Some true, some complete nonsense. That is the nature of folklore. Under every root and stone lays a story heard but untold.' Century Media.

- Finntroll!

This album is probably my favourite out of their entire collection. They definitely seemed to have a lot of fun creating this album. And their music still has their awesome feel of folk music among the growling. And their lyrics are still in Swedish, vad kul det är.

- Great new album.

I had written a review for this previously, and given it four stars. After more listening I realized that this is a five star, top quality album. Simply amazing.

It is catchy enough, while still being Finnish black metal. I actually think it's better then their previous albums.

- Tough to Place

I would add that the rest of the album is not as good as the first song. Heard on sattelite radio already. Guess it's like always ever, if you like the first song a lot...

- Amazing... This album just catch me back into the genre

Well...

Some says there's nothing new behind the sun of Melodic folk metal... If that's true... Who the hell cares when you put your heart out??? Mix Inspiration + talent and feeling... You'll get quality, just what this album is...

Salud Finntroll!!!
