- Southern GirlDon't dance....sit down and think! Erika always gives you food for thought through her original lyrics. "Southern Girl" is no exception. Like a real down home girl, she boasts of liking everything fried. Her mantra: Not to fry is to die, even tofu! You can't get much more original than that! The beat is hypnotically soothing accented with a clever and unexpected onomatopoeia...Buzzzzzzzzzz! So much is going on & on...from the home of the burning church....to the mouth of the teeth of gold..., she forces you on to step inside her world...What more could you ask of any artist?

- ERYKAH BADU IS THE BEST THERES IS..I have loved Erykah since the first time that I heard On and On by her. I live and was raised in South Dallas,Tx where she is from therfore i am very familiar with the southerngirl single and I am glad to see that she has not forgotten where she came from . You should really go get the cd and support Erykah especially if you are from Big "D" little "a" double"ll"(DALLAS)
