Once again Eros Ramazzotti landing strong on European charts, enters the top 5 in every non-English speaking European country. This is no surprise to see this overwhelming Italian pop artist competing with such world-wide popular acts as The Beatles or Backstreet Boys(who are also at the moment occupying high chart positions everywhere). People in Europe have been listening to Eros' music for almost 18 years without properly understanding his lyrics. And one, who loves music, does not have to understand the lyrics of Ramazzotti because he communicates with his fans through his high quality-romantic music and beautifully arranged vocals. His latest Album "Stilelibero" (freestyle), released on October 23, 2000 has already gone gold and even platinum in some important European music markets including Germany's. "Stilelibero" contains many breathtaking tracks including "Fuoco Nel Fuoco," which was the first single released from the album, the album also includes a track that no one would want to miss is of course "Piu Che Puoi" (duet with Cher), and one that I would not forget to mention is "Amica Donna Mia." Despite the fact that the album has been released also in Spanish version for his Spanish speaking fans, BMG has plans for making the English version of the album as well.

I was unfamiliar with Eros' work until I heard this cd at a listening station up in Canada. All I can say is Wow! What have I been missing? This is a well produced CD, and even though I do not understand Italian, the music is very melodic and "catchy". I was hooked from the opening strains of "L'Ombra Del Gigante", which is a great, rollicking way to start off the cd. Then "Fuoco Nel Fuoco" reeled me in. I understand this is the first single to be released from this cd. Excellent Choice. Don't be surprised if, after listening to this song, you end up humming the melody throught the day. Of course, his duet with that diva known as Cher - "Piu' Che Puoi" - is just flat-out beautiful. Personally, I love listening to pop music from around the world, so I'm glad that I stumbled across one of Italy's biggest stars! Which way to the check-out counter?

I picked up on Eros a few years ago & have since been hooked I have a collection of all his albums & the odd video. This guy just keeps turning out brilliant music & StileLibero is no exception. Fuoco Nel Fuoco ( fire in the fire- I believe), L'Aquila e il Condor & E Ancor mi Chiedo are exceptional. It is pleasing to find there are 'no repeats' on this record - fans who have bought his other records will know what I mean. Keep it up Eros - I can't wait for your next release. NB I hear he is doing a duet with Lara Fabian on a future coming recording (anyone confirm?)- again can't wait if this happens as I really rate his duets.

If I was asked to recommend one Italian-language vocalist it would have to be Eros Ramazzotti. A distinctive, easy on the ear voice combined with some very good songs make this a very good CD, you should also purchase "Eros" his best-of compilation. "Fuoco Nel Fuoco" was the catchy first single released from this CD, which is highly recommended. The high-energy pop of "L'ombra del gigante" and the jazzy "Improvvisa luce ad est" are other highlights, and his duet with Cher "Piu che puoi" can't be ignored either, although this is not as good as his duet with Tina Turner on the Eros CD, nevertheless this one touches the appropriate emotional nerve and can't be ignored. The other ballads here can be a little dull at times though, but on the whole this CD is worth buying, particularly for all lovers of Italian music.

I first heard Eros Ramazzotti on a cd with Andrea Bocelli. His voice was warm and soulful. After hearing that song "nel cuore lei", I went out and bought his cd's one after the other. Stilelibero is by far my favorite. It has so much personality and alot of Eros's past and present talents go into it. I loved L'ombra Del Gigante and Fuoco Nel Fuoco so much!!! But it's hard to say which is my favorite because I love them all. If I had to pick one, it probably would be Piu che Puoi!!!!! Also, I get to hear him sing in English a little which made my heart soar! I am an avid fan of Eros Ramazzotti and am waiting for him to come to the USA in 2002 so I can be in the front row. I will dream until then among his music that I listen to everyday. I also can't wait for his DVD which is set to come out in February 2002. Of course I will buy it here when they get it.
