- QEU BELLA !
Originally from Detroit. It was the summer of 1994. I was in Florence, Italy completing my architectural degree. And while in a friends apartment, switching television channels, I happened accross a music video of Eros Ramazzotti's "Favola" from the Tutte Storie CD. And that was all it took. That song still has me hypnotized to this day. I prayed that they would show the title and artist of the video at the end (like they do on most video programs). When they did, I just scribbled as fast as I could and the next chance I got I picked up a copy from a local music store. It cost me 34,000 lire (about $26 at that time), but it was well worth it.

I spoke very little Italian and understood even less. But, believe me, you don't need to be able to speak the language to experience the emotion captured in this man's vocal compositions.

Let me also recommend "Lo Amero" from his Dove c'e Musica CD. The upbeat songs are great too, but I'm a hopeless romantic and will always gravitate to a great ballad. I haven't heard all of his 8+ CD's, but his style is so rich that no matter which one you pick up you'll be pleased and want to buy the rest. {Kind of like Earth, Wind & Fire - if you're into them}

- Eros the Magnificent
I have several of Eros' cd's and have become addicted to his music. When I heard Tutte Storie I fell in love with his song "Un Grosso No". The arrangement is incredibe, boy- I wish I knew how to speak Italian. The music is so good you don't have to speak the language to enjoy the music arrangements. This man is going to break me if he keeps making more cd's.

- One of the finest works of popular music in the 20th Century
Ramazzotti's best album. A totally complete work of art. From ballad to rock, to torch song, Eros never waivers from a path that sets a new standard in modern popular music. This music pushes through the bounderies of language to a higher level of enjoyment and understanding - the music is talking to the listener. Highlights: Cose Della Vita, (a hypnotic bass line and searing guitar), Un Grosso No, and Favola. Favola is truly a magical song which, when he sings live, is a moment you'll never forget.

- His best album
In my opinion, Eros is the best music artist ever, and I find "Tutte Storie" his best album, with which only his most recent album "9" can compete.
The best songs are "Un grosso No", which is also one of the best songs ever, "Favola" and "A Mezza Via".
I saw Eros live about 6 times now, and one of the best moments of each and every - superb - concert, is when he sings "Favola".
A Masterpiece !

- An instant pop/rock classic
This is one of those albums on which every song seems like it HAD to be recorded - I don't know how to put it without sounding melodramatic, but you get the immediate impression that every song on here is an expression of something timeless that the artist absolutely had to put down in concrete, permanent form. It has a kind of internal cohesiveness and sense of romanticism - like this music was not composed "for the crowd" but for its own sake. The result of course is all the more spectacular for the listener because of that quality. It's alternately brooding, lyrical, dreamy, but with a harder rock edge than his other albums. I agree also that with this disc he achieves for the first time a real "world-class" sound & production. And the fact that bassist Tony Levin (King Crimson, Anderson/Bruford/Wakeman/Howe, Peter Gabriel) lends his unmistakable style to all but three tracks is the absolute clincher - he even plays the Chapman Stick on "Memorie"! (Let's hope Levin appears on a future Eros album...) Eros' subsequent disc "Dove c'e Musica" is also superlative, but is mellower and jazzier. "Tutte Storie" is Ramazzotti's masterpiece.
