- deceptive packaging, questionable Clapton content.I was given this 3CD set as a gift and at first was very jazzed but that quickly faded. For the listener who might not know much about Eric's early years would have assumed that Eric is on all of the tracks in the 3CD set, but this is not TRUE ! Yes there are some great track in this set, the Sonny Boy Williams live tracks, but I also feel that someone has dubbed in keyboards and maybe a drum machine on some tracks. If you want to discover Eric's recordings with the Yardbirds to Cream then look up releases under those bands. And remeber that Eric's time with the Yardbirds was very short. Most releases of the Yardbirds have Jeff Beck and/or Jimmy Page on guitar. And if you want to really learn about Eric's recording history check out a book by Marc Roberty, The Complete Guide to the Music of Eric Clapton, ISBN: 0711943052. Hey you might like what you hear on this but for the hardcore Clapton fan you can find much better options....

- Avoid At All Costs! This "box set" is nothing but sheer garbage! Clapton & Yardbirds tracks with MODERN studio overdubs. For example, the "I Ain't Got You" reprise is the very same "I Ain't Got You", but with drum machine overdubs. I heard this box set at a friend's and you should get this only if you are REALLY desperate to have everything associate with Eric Clapton. Think of the Jimi Hendrix posthumous albums in the 70s, but with 90s overdubs instead. Heck, even listening to August or Pilgrim is more tolerable than this, and the clowns who assembled this package should be serving time for fraud!

- This album kicks!!!!I think Eric clapton is one of rocks most accomplished musicians he has been around longer than anyone and made dozens of albums no band today could put a dent in his repitition

- Eric Clapton is one great artist.Through the years i have been listening to eric clapton, there have been so many great songs, songs that i have never stopped listening to, such as cocaine, lay-la, tears in heaven, pretending, and more. it was a very sad thing to hear of his son, my heart reaches out to him even now a few years after the tragic event.
