Review - Amazon.com :
Months before this major-label debut appeared, Enrique Iglesias scored a radio hit with the upbeat "Bailamos," thanks to its inclusion on the soundtrack of Wild Wild West. Enrique's bid to firmly place the son of Julio in the mainstream pop firmament leads off with another midtempo dance-pop airwaves candidate, "Rhythm Divine." The track is typical of the rest that follow: highly wrought emotion recalled in a bed of glossy production that uses Latin syncopation as a reminder of the singer's roots while resolutely aiming for chart supremacy next to the likes of Celine Dion. Filled with pop romanticism--a duet with Whitney Houston, a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Sad Eyes," and proclamations on the order of "I've seen the sun make love to the sea"--Enrique is easy enough on the ears, and looks like a surefire hit. --Rickey Wright

- Amazing from start to finish!
I bought Enrique's album because the very first time I heard "Rhythm Divine", it became one of my all-time favorite songs! And I also loved "Bailamos" when it came out during the summer and had gotten the single. I didn't became a major Enrique fan until I heard "Rhythm Divine" and that's when I knew I had to get his album when it came out. I didn't know what to expect when I bought it since I wasn't familiar with Enrique's past music. However, I was SHOCKED at how awesome this album is! I truly love every single song on here! All the up-tempo songs like "Be With You", "Oyeme", and "Alabao" are as great as "Rhythm Divine" and "Bailamos" and definitely make you want to dance! Slower songs like "I Have Always Loved You" and "I'm Your Man" are really touching since Enrique puts so much real emotion into them. He puts a lot of emotion into his songs whether they're slow or fast. The duet with Whitney Houston, "Could I Have This Kiss Forever", is simply beautiful. "Sad Eyes", a cover of one of Bruce Springsteen's songs, is great and has a rock sound. "You're My #1" is also stunning. I also love the 3 Spanish versions of some of the songs at the end of the album. This album is incredibly diverse, a mixture of Latin, pop, and rock and amazing fast songs and gorgeous slow ones. I bought it the day it was released, November 23, and since then I play the whole album at least once a day. It's been a long time since I've bought an album that I felt so passionate about. It's inspired me to want to buy Enrique's Spanish albums even though I don't know Spanish!

- Enrique du Fantastique!
This CD caught be completely off guard when i first listened to it. "ENRIQUE" is the self titled album from this young dynamic latino sensation. This is his forth and perhaps his most impressive release to date. Leaving the good looks and charisma aside, this album is evidence that this exciting young performer is more than just a pretty face. In fact, this guy is major talent!

In this album, Enrique demonstrates his maturity and versatlity well beyond his youth. This album has a quality that very few albums have, that is originality and the courage to experiment with different musical styles. He doesn't just adhere to his latin roots, but ventures into pop, rock and ballads with a new found confidence and inspiration under his belt. His mezmerizing vocals are an extension of his soul and what he's feeling deep down inside. This wonderful and emotional voice quivers like the wings of a moth in the fire and trembles like a falling leaf in the wind. This passion and exuberance flow right through the album from start to finish with honesty and an unpretetious quality that is un-matched by any other artist today.

'Rhythm Divine' is just that - Divine Rhythm that captures your soul and takes your cares away. The frank and sexy lyrics in 'Oyeme' and 'Alabao' will take your breath away and leave you wanting more. More is what you get, with tracks like 'Be with you' and 'Bailamos' which are just fantastic with an up-beat tempo best described as pop with a spanish/latin sound. A surprizing departure from his usual is the cover of Bruce Springteen's 'Sad Eyes', which he does so brilliantly(almost passes for Chris Isaak). Other winners in this bunch include the pop ballads 'I'm your man' and 'You're my No. #1'.

"Enrique" the album is also laced with some of musics' hottest stars. Included in the guestlist are Diane Warren, David Foster, Whitney Houston and Patrick Leonard. However, even the best producers and composers can only do so much, and in this case, the major success of this stunning album lies in the hands of the singer and writer, whose talant, passion and relentless drive for perfection has only produced one of the best releases of the year.

Like all other albums from Enrique, this one's unpretentious and comes straight from the heart.

5 Stars for a class act!

- Enrique Iglesias
This has got to be the most exciting, talented performer that the world has seen in a very long time. His voice is very different (love that tremble), and his music is hot, hot, hot! If asked to choose a favorite from this CD, I am at a loss because they are all my favorites. He mixes latin beats and dance tracks, as well as ballads. The entire flow of the CD is unmatched. If you haven't tried Enrique, you are missing a lot. I hope that he continues to intrigue and excite us with his music, style and wonderful voice. Thanks!

- Great album
I got this album when it was first released, when I was fourteen or so. I saw the video for "Bailamos", and I knew I had to have this cd. Years later, I still find myself sitting here listening to it. I absolutely love this cd. It was honestly life-changing for me... It inspired me to take Spanish classes in high school, and I wouldn't be where I am today if not for those classes.

Some of the songs aren't great. I don't really care for "Sad Eyes", and I hardly ever listen to the Spanish versions of anything but "Rhythm Divine". However, the rest of the tracks make up for it. "Bailamos" is still one of my favorites, and it has been years since I first said that. "You're My #1" has beautiful lyrics, and it is sung with incredible emotion. "Oyeme" and "Alabao" will make you want to get up and dance.

Overall, this is an excellent album. If you like any kind of pop or latin music, this is a good album for you.
