Review - Amazon.com
Enrique Iglesias is very definitely a child of the 1980s, and his arena-rock aspirations are prominently displayed on 7. The Latin superstar's third English-language album is filled with fist-pumping choruses, crisp guitar riffs, and rock-tinged pop ditties destined to send fans into serious states of swooning. Aching love ballads occupied much of Iglesias' time on previous efforts, but those are kept to a minimum here. Even the first single, "Addicted," swells with a chorus that seems designed for maximum sing-along potential. Songs such as "The Way You Touch Me," "Break Me Shake Me," "Free," and "You Rock Me" shimmy and sparkle, anchored by Iglesias' ever-improving, always sexy vocal delivery. It makes for a vibrant mix of music, and it will be nearly impossible to resist singing along with more than a few of these gems even after one listen. Rock on. --Joey Guerra

- Influential Yet Original !

Delightful compositions with `influential originality' - it's Enrique Iglesias with another beautiful collection `Seven'. Sure to get `Addicted'. I say `Influential Originality' becoz though some numbers reminds influential touch, Enrique is his cool Original and a great seductive voice.

Not in Love : This one makes an outstanding beginning. It's got a melodious rhythm n beat and sure is a sing along piece. This is my fav and the very Best of Enrique. Don't miss out listening!

The Way You Touch Me: A lil bit seductive n influential of Enrique's earlier song and when he sings `you can walk, we can talk..all I want....doesn't these words sound familiar? Yeah..yeah...makes the song too inviting too.

Say it : A soothing influential song which reminds of George Michael's songs. The words..."To keep up the fight...So I need you to say it...if you really want this to end...Jes take me" The Bass n high scale here is simply unlike Enrique and he's proved to be an outstanding singer.

California Callin' : The guitars n drum beats have a great flow in this song. Should I turn around, should I leave you alone ...these words sung with indepth vocals and makes the song very appealing.

Break me Shake me : A twist n shake number to dance along. I luv the way its sung `I'm gonnaa...I'm gonna.... A very honest number!

Free : Becoz I'm free...free Enrique number that says it all in a seductive voice.

Wish You were Here with Me : Sometimes ...Enrique's Best listening and this number is jes passing by.

You Rock Me : Good music and good vocals. I couldn't believe this is Enrique!

Live it up Tonight : An influenced number - (Put your hands in the air....) as it sings `Live it up tonight...live it up tonight' - A nice tune.

Bonus collections are simply superb. The Adicto is his original Spanish number. Metro mix and Glam as You mix. Glam..this one's got real club dancing beat and sure to be hit this Christmas parties.

Overall, My rating goes 5 Stars! Buy it if you are a good Music Freak and `Sure Pick' if an Enrique Iglesias Fan. Great Listening 'Enrique Iglesias'

- Variety is the Spice of Life

I bought this album yesterday and I've already listened to it a dozen times or more. It's very different from Enrique's first English album's Latin Dance influence.

Seven has more '80's Arena Rock from my youth. There is also a freshness to the variety of the songs, since not all of them are love ballads or about love. His honesty with his emotions wins a plus in my book. :)

I especially like "Say It," "Wish You Were Here," "You Rock Me," "The Way You Touch Me," and the Spanish version of "Adicto."

"Roamer" brings to mind Journey's song "Faithfully" about being on the road, though it's very different from "Faithfully."

"Be Yourself" seems like a very personal song.

I enjoy listening to his songs in Spanish just as much as in English. Give his Spanish material a try if you've never heard anything but his English songs. You won't be disappointed.

- Enrique's SEVEN

Enrique's new album I have to say is one of my absolute favorite albums,I'm surprised that he didn't do that well this time around (sold 357,000 copies in us)Personaly I thought the single ADDICTED was great,My favorites on the album are SAY IT,CALIFORNIA CALLING,BREAK ME SHAKE ME,BE YOURSELF,ROAMER AND LIVE IT UP TONIGHT 10 out of 10.Over all the album is fun and a a great listen,it has an eighties feel to it and with the right singles would have sold better (I think).

- Passionate

I did not expect this CD to be this good! I blindly bought it because I've seen how Enrique sings/performs with passion and in a deeply felt manner. This one is no exception; I love all but 2 tracks. Say it, Wish You Were Here, Addicted, Roamer, & Free are my absolute favorites. The CD can't seem to leave my car player.

- He Does It Again

Once again Enrique manages to switch up his style, remaining fresh and to those that actually listen to his music, "not corny." Like many of Enrique's cds you have to hear it a few times to fully enjoy the catchy songs. All the songs with the exeption of track 12: live it up tonight, are amazing. You can let the entire cd play out, its that good. For his english cd's this one is just as good as Escape and Enrique. This is proof that Enrique has not lost his musical edge and his ability to make good cd's.
