Kill Rock Stars record label has announced that on April 6 it will add the late Elliott Smith's "Roman Candle" and "From a Basement on the Hill" records to its catalog.

It's not often that we get to write news stories about the much-loved and equally much-missed Elliott Smith , but today is such one of those days, as Kill Rock Stars will be adding the LPs Roman Candle and From A Basement On The Hill to their catalogue. There's also a new (OK, it was recorded in 1997!), unreleased track, 'Cecilia/Amanda'.

Six years ago, on October 21, 2003, Elliott Smith passed away from stab wounds to the chest. It was around that time that I first heard Smithís music in the Good Will Hunting soundtrack. I liked what I heard, especially the song "Angeles" off of his 1997 album Either/Or and the Good Will Hunting soundtrack.
