- "A National Treasure"
Back in 2008, Newsweek called Dolly a "national treasure." This album could be used as evidence in a court of law to back up that statement. In "Backwoods Barbie," she shows her wide range in songwriting, her depth of feeling from playfulness to sorrow, and her genius in instrumentation. The woman never slows down, thank goodness for us.
