- Good Bye EarlThe Chicks hit it with this song. If this song strikes a note with a person in an abusive situation, perhaps it will save their sanity! Women of the world unite. A slug does not deserve to live. It's - Country and Rock You go girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

- Get a life! The Dixie Chicks mean no harm! When I first bought this CD none of the songs had been on the radio yet. I don't mind "Goodbye Earl" because it reminds me of the Beatles' "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," which is a great song. I remember this sort of thing also came up with Matchbox 20's "Push." If you have read the lyrics in the cover of the CD, you will see the words: "The Dixie Chicks do not condone murder. However, they love getting even." If the song bothers you, don't listen to it--as for me, I respect the Dixie Chicks' style!

- I LOVE GOOD BYE EARL!I am not a country music fan, but when i heard the song 'good bye earl' at a party, I fell in LOVE! It is a humourous song with catchy lyrics.

- Country music that rocks!"Goodbye Earl" is a great good humored, "have fun and let loose" song; the Dixie Chicks really know how to add a little kick into the country music genre and get away with it. This song symbolizes girl power and how well women work together and how they're always there for each other; kind of a good song for women because it's appreciating girl power. On their cover, "Stand By Your Man", the girls really SHINE. I have never heard country vocals so beautiful. They harmonize wonderfully.

- PaybacksI love the song GOODBYE EARL is says what we would all like to do to an abuser who hurts us or someone we love but are afraid to say it, Though domestic abuse is by no means a laughing matter I think it's a good release song for an abused person.
