Depeche Mode es un grupo británico de música synthpop, new wave, tecnopop, electropop o simplemente tecno (algunos los catalogan como darkwave), formado en Basildon, condado de Essex en 1980. Considerado el mejor grupo en lo referido a su género y precursores de la "música industrial". Se dio a conocer en 1981 como grupo de synthpop y abanderados del movimiento New Romantic, pero pronto perderían esa etiqueta a medida que endurecieron su sonido con el uso de los samplers y oscurecieron su estética y sus letras en 1984. |
