- A Must For DJ Shadow FansAlthough I am a fan of Depeche Mode, they are not the reason why I bought this single. The real reason is DJ Shadow, and his potent remix of "Painkiller." I need to listen to the original version of the song sometime, but for now, all I can say is that Shadow's version is awesome.

- HauntingThe hit song is eerily enchanting and achingly personal. The lyrics describe the raw self in a grip of sensuality so powerful that it paralyses. The sound mix is accomplished - original yet not overdone. The other songs pale in comparison and I would have prefered a single song album.

- A MUST HAVEGUS GUS REMIX IS THE HOTTEST DM REMIX EVER!!! Because it takes a mediocre song and turns it into something extremely much more DM than the original. Extra vocals add a sexy lushness that the original didn't have. I've had this since it came out, almost 5 years, and it STILL ROCKS. The Surrender remix is great too. It's got a nothin' special (in the beat dept.) housy feel, but some awesome vocal twists in the break. Headstar is pretty cool too, a non-vocal rock-aggressive.
