- much better LIVE SHOW than Stones or Beatles!yes they rock more & are louder than Stones or beatles ever did on stage. This DEEP PURPLE MK III(COVERDALE, BLACKMORE, HUGHES, LORD, PAICE) final hour was recorded live in Saarbrucken germany april 1975 before the legendary Ricthie Blackmore left the band in that same year. This live cd is the second golden platinum album along with DEEP PURPLE MK II MADE in JAPAN 1972. don't forget to buy this!

- great performances from MK IIIsometimes I dont understand any Fan's reviews below. did u ever hear Deep purple before? don't make any prejudice thinking about DP, they always made many magic performances, certainly this album is underrated too. 1. Burn. DP kicked the opening set and the band played loud like a wounded bird....the duet vocal harmony between Coverdale and Hughes is excellent. 2. Mistreated, Coverdale shouted a bluesy ballad with his deep hard voice, the result is incredible. 3. Lady double dealer, Coverdale sang very high and loud, John lord solo keyboard is amazing, cool! 4. You fool no one, Ritchie blackmore played the solo guitar like a demon and finally Ian paice's solo drums. The guys are great.... hard rock heroes! 5. Stormbringer is the encore, and the whole band played once again like a demon. Coverdale shouted louder and louder, Glenn Hughes solo bass guitar can be heard on this song. The audience were happy at that time after the show.... This set was recorded in Saarbrücken germany 1975. The final testimonial and the greatest name of Deep Purple can be included to the rock n roll hall of fame. Thank you..

- Very powerful live album! The sound on this live album is thick, clean, clear and digitally remastered! The show starts off with Richie Blackmore doing a very mellow guitar interlude & then David Coverdale calmly says,"Rock and Roll." That statement describes this album perfectly, because Made In Europe is straight out grade A prime time rock and roll!Deep Purple then rips into a furious version of "Burn." Richie does a bit of a bluesy interlude before the band goes into a very cool version of "Mistreated." The band is simply of fire during "Lady Double Dealer." This live version of "LDDO" sounds flawless.John Lord does an organ/keyboards solo in the intro to "You Fool No One" and plays some very catchy familiar tunes that you'll probably recognize when you hear them.Richie solos in the middle of "YFNO" and the band also does an instrumental break at this point.Ian Paice does a short drum solo toward the end of "YFNO." Both Paice(drums)and Glenn Hughes(bass)really stand out on this on.The cd end with a powerfull version of "Stormbringer"It is during this song that I can't help but stomping my feet to the awesome beat. All in all a great album, one that I prefer over "Made In Japan." The music David Coverdale did with Deep Purple blows away anything he did with Whitesnake!

- Good Live Album......but why are the stereo channels reversed, with Blackmore on the left and Jon Lord on the right? Regardless, Coverdale sounds fine, Blackmore plays with some fire, Hughes' bass is mixed clearly, and Lord and Paice, as always, are excellent. Makes for a nice alternative to the same lineup's more widely heard and seen California Jam set.
Enjoy. Thank you for your time.
Peace. A.B.

- the best mark III live showWhy is this album so good ? here's why: every song on the album is the best version ever; Ritchie plays with inspiration and feel like on "Made in Japan", Glenn's bass sound never sounded better and he sure shows us how good a player he can be. David, Ian and Jon are also at their peak (they still believed in mark III at this time) and the whole album is just one big hard rock party. This is what a live album should be !
