Description :
Fronter: Legends of the Old Northwest is the original soundtrack composed by David Arkenstone for the award-winning History Channel series. The stirring music from this exciting series spanning the decades surrounding the American Revolution authentically captures the spirit of the past when America was still a vast wilderness. Full orchestra mixed with Native flutes and drums paints a sensitive portrait of the grandeur, spectacle and struggle that unfolds in these powerful stories.Customer review - 2004-08-17
- Superb! - Arkenstone is underrated! You don't hear a lot about David Arkenstone compared to some other more well-known New Age artists (like Yanni). But watch out! If Mr. Arkenstone can continue to produce works as good as "Frontier", he's going to become well-known amongst all music fans! (Not just the "new age" set.) This album has got it all! Great melodies and superb sonics. Highly recommended.

- Excellent. This CD and the composer's Music Inspired by Middle Earth rank as my favorite Arkenstone offerings. Robert's Theme alone is worth the price of the disc. Check it out. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
