Dave Matthews Band es una banda norteamericana de Folk Rock y Jazz Rock, formada actualmente por Dave Matthews (voz - guitarra), Boyd Tinsley (violín), Stefan Lessard (bajo), Carter Beauford (batería y percusiones) y Leroi Moore (juega con una amplia gama de instrumentos, como el saxofón y la flauta). Historia En Noviembre de 1991, cuando Dave trabajaba en un bar de la ciudad, un abogado amigo suyo, Ross Hoffman, lo convencería de grabar un demo con las pocas canciones que Dave había escrito. Para ello contarían con al ayuda de un músico de jazz local, Carter Beauford. |

Endlich kommt sie wieder nach Deutschland: Die Live-Sensation The Dave Matthews Band, die mit ihrer Jam getriebenen Rockmusik seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten den amerikanischen Kontinent verzaubert. Nicht umsonst werden die Konzerte dieser furiosen Band um Sänger, Gitarrist und Songwriter Dave Matthews seit zehn Jahren kontinuierlich unter den Top 10 der „profitabelsten Tourneen“ des Landes geführt. Das ‚Rolling Stone’-Magazin nannte diese amerikanische Live-Institution sogar „America’s Biggest Band“. Mehr als 35 Millionen verkaufte Studioalben sowie etliche Millionen Exemplare ihrer elf Live-Platten sprechen eine deutliche Sprache. Mit dem im Frühjahr erschienenen, achten Studioalbum „Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King“ kommt die Dave Matthews Band jetzt auf große Europa-Tournee, in deren Rahmen sie im Februar/März auch in Hamburg, Berlin, München, Köln und Frankfurt Halt macht.
