- Buyer beware--disc is LOADED with edits!!!!If you like all the Cranberries radio hits, and were hoping to have them all on one disc instead of owning every single Cranberries CD, just be warned that you are NOT getting many of the full length recordings, with some tracks being as much as 2 minutes shorter than the original album versions. Amongst the many edited versions I noticed were:
Dreams
When You're Gone
Free to Decide
Hollywood
Promises
Animal Instinct
Just my Imagination
You & Me
Track times:
1. dreams (4:15)
2. linger (4:34)
3. zombie (5:07)
4. ode to my family (4:31)
5. i can't be without you (3:07)
6. ridiculous thoughts (3:36)
7. salvation (2:24)
8. free to decide (3:23)
9. when you're gone (3:52)
10. hollywood (4:19)
11. promises (3:32)
12. animal instinct (3:32)
13. just my imagination (3:13)
14. you & me (3:17)
15. analyse (4:06)
16. time is ticking out (3:01)
17. this is the day (4:15)
18. daffodil lament (6:06)
19. new new york (4:09)
20. stars (3:31)

- WELL DONE GREATEST HITSThis is a Greatest Hits well done. Including all the single cuts release to radio outlets. Usually Record Label do not place one single so you still buy the original records and the greatest hits, wich really anoys me. Although The Cranberries music career it's better heard on their original conceptual records than a Greatest Hits Package, this cd will do very well for those casual fans of the irish band. The fans will find delightful that they include a non-release cut from theit NO NEED TO ARGUE album, DAFFODIL LAMENT, wich in my opinion is one of the bands best tracks. Worth your money. Buy It.

- Unfairly Fair : Overall Great Job , BossesThe thought of a greatest hits collection of Cranberries seems unfair simply because I always thought this band couldnt have a greatest hits unless it was compiled by me. I mean they've made such awesome music over the years. Their style is second to none. Dolores O Riordan has been my psychological lover for over five years now. I like the sound of her voice and it brings back a lost feeling of mesmeria in me.
Dreams deserves a place with its absolute ever-echanted sound. It sparks off this album in the most amazing way.No Cranberries "non album" is complete without "Linger". Come to think of it I was wrong with my prediction of an unfair greatest hits. Cranberries have a lot of good music so it isnt too difficult. There are four tracks from To The Faithful Departed which happens to be my favourite Cranberries album. Hollywood is easily the closest Cranberries ever got to being labelled "metal".
Some songs this album could do without are - Salvation and This is the day. Otherwise the compilation is rock solid. I'd like to have had "Electric Blue" which is arguably my favourite Cranberries track.
There's no "Joe" , "Dreaming My Dreams" which could have been considered but here's an album I recommend to anyone who has/has not heard Cranberries. If you're new then I suggest you buy this album. If you want to know more about Cranberries, close your eyes and buy anyone of their albums. Beware, Don't buy their last album since it wouldnt give you the best insight on how their music really stands.
Cranberies is the most dreamy band I have ever heard second only to Cocteau Twins. I recommend the 1990 album "heaven or las vegas" to all the people here who haven't heard them. The absolutely magical sound that Cranberries display in their music is what makes me feel like a new born. I can be more expressive but then I'd over state my opinion. Cranberries is among my top three bands and I don't see any band displacing them in the near future.
Hope they come out with a new album sometime soon.
So long,
"Chocolate Brown"

- Took me years but I finnaly have the song I love so. I normally listen to country or rock oldies, but once in a while I hear this beautiful song on someones radio who's listening a POP station. Who sings it or What is the song title, I kept asking my self. I would listen for the end of the song and hope the DJ would tell me, but they just never would. Until just a few days ago, when finnaly I learn that beautiful song that has been haunting me for a long time is "DREAMS". Now it's Mine.
I love the rest of the CD as well except for just one song, but hey that's what a track forward button is for.

- The essentials are all here...While I wish this U.S. release was a 2-disc set (they deserve it!) this disc includes the most important and famous works of the Irish quartet. And as a bonus you get the two previously unreleased tracks including the immediately catchy 'Stars.' HOWEVER, like other "Best Of" CDs of artists, this disc contains edited versions of the original songs (The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.) Most notable cuts occur in the songs 'Ridiculous Thoughts' where the haunting opening bars by Dolores are completely cut out and the 'Hollywood' track had the opening shortened as well. If you're a stickler for the original versions of the songs, then this "Best Of" may not be agreeable with you. But, if you're new to the Cranberries (where have you been!?!) you'll find this an amazing listen that is sure to be a permanent addition to your CD rotation.
