"Time After Time" was the second commercially released solo single by singer Cyndi Lauper. The song is to date her second highest charting and most commercially successful single worldwide after "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". Though "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" is considered Lauper's signature song, she did not write it. However, she, along with Rob Hyman of The Hooters wrote "Time After Time", which is widely considered a classic ballad of the 1980s, and is still played frequently on adult contemporary radio.
