- Hits & Album TraxThis Netherlands compilation includes many of Cliff's 1970s hits in the U.K. & the U.S. The best part however is the inclusion of a number of rarely heard but excellent album tracks. Among these are very good songs that Cliff wrote or co-wrote. These are "Nothing Left For Me To Say," "No One Waits," and "Needing A Friend." Another plus is is his wonderful cover of Mickey Newbury's "Lovers" (Originally on the LP "I'm Nearly Famous." A CD that should NOT be out of print!)Also, the Larry Norman Christian rocker "Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music" appears. A duet, "Love On", with Olivia Newton-John is on the disk, too. The only out of place tune is "Bang Bang." I have to admit I never understood why it was a hit in the U.S. either. Overall, a good mix of ballads and rock & roll.
