Review - Amazon.com :
This apparent camp classic came and went in 1982 without so much as one week on the Billboard charts. Cher fans who dig her late-'80s power-ballad phase might like I Paralyze, an early stab at the genre (never mind the cover's new wave styling). Silly love songs from the pens of Desmond Child, John Waite, and Jacques Morali are, um, highlights, as is the way Cher's vocal, er, prowess is buried deep in the title track's mix. --Rickey WrightCustomer review - 2000-08-08
- It Paralyzes (in a good way)This album is so good and unique showing many sides of Cher's versatility. This '82 project was released on a Columbia offspring and was meant to launch Cher back into the spotlight after a few disco/rock flops. It didn't do to the fact that Cher was heavily focused on acting. Good career move, but it caused this record to be a huge bomb with very catchy songs that not only eighties lite rock lovers would dig, but that Cher fans would adore. The songs have a slight rock girlgroup feel with the light hearted twangy rock tunes as "Walk With Me" and "Say What's On Your Mind" combining the new rock sound of AOR and slight new wave. Her best rocker on here is "Back On The Street Again" with signature sounds and that voice wailing. Slight ballads soar with excellent production like "When The Love is Gone" and "Games". They are much stronger then her "Take Me Home" ballads with A+ instrumentation and that fun sound that I dig. Cher's older ballads didn't have enough going on and of as much soul that was poured into them; these feel like they really have her heart. "Rudy" is a brilliant rock ballad with yearning vocals yet upbeat music. And the song "I Paralyze". The ultimate track. A quirky dance meets rock meets party polka in way with seductive words and sex appeal all over. I can't fully recommend the album to all because these melodies are a bit dated but they are all really good. You really have to love eighties music to appreciate this one while her Geffen albums are that badly dated and still get some radio play. Still wroth checking out, and a must for Cher fans. I think it's one of her best out of print albums.

- Love the 80's? Great for a Cher fans!OK, this maybe isn't groundbreaking work, but as a huge Cher fan, I love it. Fun to throw into the CD player as a little retro treat. Especially when you want some Cher that hasn't been played 100 times on the radio...trust me, this has not been played much on the radio. But it really is some pretty great music with a couple real standout tunes... Rudy and Do I Ever Cross Your Mind are my favorites. (Actually, Do I Ever Cross Your Mind probably makes it onto my Top 10 Cher list...and that is a tough list!) ;-)

- I P-A-R-A-L-Y-Z-EThis album is a brilliant contrast to any of Cher's previous albums. The songs that I reccommended in this album of quality are, "Rudy" "I Paralyze" and "When The Love Is Gone" The rest of the songs are good, but these songs stand out with exeptional Impressivibilty. Buy This Album!

- Failure? Hell No!I was looking online and saw that When Cher made this Cd It was one on the worst cd's she ever made! It was to be totally forgotten. Well There are only 3 songs on here that don't have a good beat but the rest of them are GREAT! If you are collecting Cher cd's this one needs to be in your collection!

- Cher CD'S ROCK!The cd of I paralyze is the 2nd best in my opinion.. The current one "Believe" is awesome, but the "I paralize" hits second with me, as it's more of a happier tune to get into.. it puts a smile on my face! But so does all of Cher's Music! (huge cher fan here)
