Carole King (born February 9, 1942) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Her most active years as a singer were during the first half of the 1970s, but her success as a songwriter spans a considerably longer period of over four decades since the early 1960s. King has won four Grammy Awards and has been inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her songwriting, along with long-time partner Gerry Goffin. |
