- Killer
At first, I didn't like this album much, but then I actually listened to it a bit more. Gutted(The Song) inspired me to buy it. The drumming absolutely tears up anything CC have produced after this album(Haven't heard EBTL), brutal. I'd say this album lives up to Tomb Of The Mutilated, or at least pretty close. The vocals aren't as sick but the musicianship is fantastic. Basically, if you like CC, you'll like this album, especially the psychotic double bass pedal blasting :) The remaster features a video which I have yet to make function on both of the newer remasteres, and a live song(Covered With Sores) with vocals by Corpsegrinder.

- Trying To Even Things Out
I'd recommend the remaster of Eaten Back To Life over this cd, but I'd still give this cd about 4 stars. It gets a bit repetitive here and there, but it's a very good cd overall. The remastering helped considerably. The bass is still buried under everything else (which is unfortunate, because Alex is the best thing this band ever had), but the guitar sound is much improved. I'm giving it 5 stars to help even it out a bit, thanks to a couple of ignorant twits that didn't justify their poor reviews. I'd recommend the remaster of Eaten Back To Life over this cd.

- 90/100, Taking the brutality to a new level.
This is Cannibal Corpse's brutal follow up to their debut, Eaten Back To Life. They really start to come into their own as a band with this release. This album is heavier and more brutal than their debut, and still ranks among the heaviest death metal albums of all time. It also has what is probably the best death metal album artwork of all time. The guitars shred nonstop until your ears bleed. The bass is great if you can hear it, but it's really difficult because it's buried under everything else. The drums are top notch and incredibly creative as always. Chris Barnes tries to go even lower on this album and does a really great job overall. My favorite tracks on here are "Meat Hook Sodomy", "Covered With Sores", and "Vomit The Soul". The remastering makes everything much more clear and greatly improves the album as a whole. This is one of the best death metal albums of all time and really deserves a listen.

- Awesome death metal!
Cannibal Corpse are the leaders in hardcore death metal. No emo/nu-metal wussy crap here just brutal non-conforming riffs, lyrics and vocals. Great set list and gruesome cover art as is expected from this band. If you don't like this band then you probally should listen to a band called Cannibal Corpse.
