- Russell J. SchultzOUTSTANDING! Of all the CD's this incredibly gifted artist has produced, 'MODERN LIFE' has to be the crown jewel! High in vitality and emotion! 'Tomorrow's World','Out of the Mist',and 'Take me home to You' WILL leave a very good impression in your memory! This guy sets the benchmark of top shelf, jet-set cool professionalism! Do yourself a big favor. Buy this CD, fire it up,turn out the lights and go on a musical vacation!

- Brian's BestOnly a year after Brian Culbertson came out with quite a good debut CD "Long Night Out", he gets even better with this one. His keyboard playing is top notch along with his arrangements that just make his music flow. And there is a good combination of fast upbeat songs and slower songs. The first 6 selections and the last one are the best ones with the selections in between being a little less exciting but still very listenable. The only ho-hum selection was his rendition of the Vanessa Williams song "Save the Best for Last". If you enjoy a good smooth jazz keyboard player who is smooth and melodic and have grown sick and tired of all the Kenny G. alto sax soundalikes, pick up this CD. I own 4 out of his 5 CD's and would still rate this his best.

- The Best That I have Heard From Brian!!!I own a few Brian Culbertson CD's. This is the best that I have heard from him. Most CD's are front-loaded with the best songs at the beginning of the CD. That isn't the case with this one. They are throughout it. My favorites are Come To Me, Modern Life, And Take Me Home To You. If you don't own anything from Brian...start with this one. You will be glad you did!

- AfterthoughtModern Life is a breath of fresh air after a chili-bean eating contest. I give it 2 thumbs up... and a toenail!

- Refreshing Then...Still Refreshing Now!When I recently heard "Come To Me" on the radio, I was taken away. I didn't know the artist was Brian Culbertson and that this recording was from 1995! I HAD to add this to my collection. The entire disc is a journey into the genius of this artist. My ears and my soul have enjoyed this refreshing escape. "Take Me Home To You" is slammin'! Gerald Albright kills the sax solo. This is a great 'chill out' CD. I have all of his newer recordings and I am going to order "Long Night Out" and "After Hours"!!! You NEED this in your collectin!
