The acoustic version of "SO COLD" is, in my opinion really beautiful. it really shows the bare bones beauty of this song and how great it is and how great this band is. THIS IS A BAND YOU NEED TO KEEP AN EYE OUT. great things are coming down the pike from BB. also on this EP is a song BB did for Halo 2 called, ironically enough, BLOW ME AWAY. this is one really great song. from the start to the end it is both something new while still retaining established BB sound. I love it. Now the third song on this ep is called LADY BUG but it did not really grab me but thats me. i just was not thrilled about this song.
the last two songs are AWAY & BREAKDOWN both of which are live and both of which are AWESOME and make up for any shortcomings. i will say here and now that if you ever get the chance, you should make an effort to see them live because they are one of the best bands i have seen when it comes to live shows. they completely own the crowd. i have seen them twice and both times they were TFGL (total f- godhead live) which is saying alot because the first time i saw them was opening for monster magnet @ the stone pony in NJ. I lover MM but BB blew them away. they were completly awesome. the second time i saw them headlining the starland ballroom and they were, again, amazing.
with that said, i leave you with the suggestion that if you like what you have heard from this band through radio or mtv etc..then you have not heard anything. their is much better stuff on album and i reccomend you check it out and like the title says, this ep has live stuff, one acoustic song and two studio songs so you get the total package and out of the 5 songs id say 4 are great. thats pretty good odds.

Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands in the world! So when i heard about this cd, i just had to get it. Here's my review:
1. So Cold Aucoustic-10/10-i liked it on WANA, I still like it now.
2. Blow Me Away-5/5-On the Halo 2 video game, it's better than "ladybug"
3. Ladybug-1/5-A PUNK SONG ATEMT!!!!!!!!!!!!? Avril tried that, and thank god her fans (for some bizzare reason) like her.
4. Away (Live)-10/5-MY FAVE.!!! (On WANA + SC EP)
5. Breakdown (Live)-5/5-WICKED

a great debut for an amazing band. These guys do not fail to impress!

TO BE HONEST, I HAVE YET TO BUY THEIR EP ALBUM, WHICH IS A SHOCK EVEN TO MYSELF BECAUSE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BAND. I HAVE BEEN A HUGE FAN SINCE I FIRST HEARD THEIR MUSIC OVER 2 YEARS AGO...BEFORE THEY WERE BIG ON THE MUSIC SCENE. (AT LEAST IN KANSAS WHERE IM FROM). I SAW THEM WHEN THEY OPENED FOR EVANESCENSE AND I WAS ALREADY HOOKED. THEN I RECENTLY SAW THEM WHEN THEY HEADLINED WITH THEORY OF A DEADMAN AND THE EXIES. THERE IS JUST NO NEGATIVITE VIBE AND THATS RARE FROM THE HARD ROCK SCENE. THEIR MUSIC GETS YOU IN A GREAT MOOD AND MAKES YOU WANNA JUST SCREAM AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS. ITS GREAT. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY OF THEIR ALBUMS, YOU NEED TO CHECK 'EM OUT. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DONT LIKE HARD ROCK, YOU WONT LIKE THEM BUT, THEN AGAIN, THERES A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING.

This EP is nothing special... But for BB fans it's worth the 5 or 6 bucks.

**a live recording.. would have liked a professional studio version of it but still a great version of the song**

Track 02: Blow Me Away
**from the Halo 2 soundtrack, the song, while good, seems just a little but commericial for me.. and you can tell in the lyrics**

Track 03: Lady Bug
**a curious b-side that i'm guessing was an outtake from the new album, its a little different then BB's normal style**

Track 04: Away (live)
**nothing worth noting, just a live version of the normal song**

Track 05: Breakdown (live)
**this being one of my fav songs off the album, i enjoyed this one more then track 4, but still nothing that special**


All in all you will definitley want this for your collection if you're a BB fan just the 2 exclusive songs. The other 3 live songs are just an added bonus.
