Review - Yahoo! Music - Dan Leroy :
Fans of these former Motown fixtures needn't fear about the group's move to Arista, because Full Circle, despite its suggestion of returning to roots, hardly tampers with the time-tested Boyz II Men formula. It doesn't build on the hints of growth shown on the more mature Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya, but everything else goes exactly to plan.

There's a crossover hit for their new bosses ("Relax Your Mind," a summery midtempo groove with an assist by labelmate Faith Evans), and plenty of airbrushed balladry to showcase their harmonies, which are lush and gorgeous as ever, except when downplayed on "Ain't A Thang Wrong" and "Roll Wit Me" in an unwise appeal to the hip-hop street.

For all the diligent professionalism, though, only a couple of tracks--"Right On Time," with its nagging harmonica hook, and "I'll Show You," which demonstrates what these guys could really accomplish harmonically--have any staying power. It's a shame that an album so impossible to dislike is equally impossible to remember later.

Review - AMG :
Boyz II Men grew up with 2000's Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya, providing a really fine, mature urban soul album, but not many noticed, so it was time for another new start in 2002. They left Motown and signed with Arista, where Antonio "LA" Reid had successfully set up shop, breaking new acts and re-establishing old ones -- with the latter clearly in mind when the executive produced Boyz II Men's Full Circle, with the Boyz handling production duties. Everybody involved apparently decided that the best way to bring the boyz into the 2000s was by hedging their bets: offering a little of the stilted, early '80s-funk influenced hip-hop that marked modern soul, while offering a lot of adult contemporary balladry. Although the group doesn't delve too hard into funk, it still doesn't mesh particularly well together, especially since the material, while well-sung as ever, isn't particularly distinguished. That doesn't mean it's bad -- the album is pleasant enough as it spins -- but it's simply not that memorable, which is quite a disappointment after the very, very nice Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
