Bobby Brown: Busted and Broke

Bobby Brown -- who was arrested outside of his daughter's school for failure to appear in court and pay child support fines (translation: for being a deadbeat dad) -- is reportedly still sitting behind bars at Norfolk County House of Corrections because "he can't afford to pay his debt." TMZ reports that the former New Edition member and Mr. Whitney Houston is scrambling to come up with the $19,100 he owes in back child support payments to Kim Ward, the mother of two of his children. "Mr. Brown is not financially able to make the payment to court," said his attorney, adding that she is currently making her "best effort" to work out some sort of deal with the court. When asked about the fortune he amassed during his days as a world famous musician, his attorney replied, "He was an 80s icon, that was 20 years ago." So Bobby didn't invest in a good Roth IRA or mutual fund with his "My Prerogative" and "Don't Be Cruel" royalties? I'm shocked.
